just had tranny rebuilt on my 97 chevy. i dont know anything about rebuilding so here is what was done and if yall know what all this means i would appreciate it. i asked for a better clutch and some towing stuff.

corvette servo
2 pack 3-4 clutch
5 pinion rear outlet
Rev. shift bull???

sounds like he did the corvette servo swap for the quicker 1-2 shift, you should feel this seat of the pants, and a 2 pack 3-4 clutch to reduce the servo slap that occurs after the 3-4 shift. while he was in there he put in a 5 pinion rear outlet with the zytanium inserts because they'll take the heat better than the 4 pinion one with the regular steel inserts. the reverse shift bull gear gives you twice the torque in reverse, like a teralow kit in a tcase, for stump pulling and backwards burnouts.

now that you put it in english it makes sense. it shifts quick in 1-2 and i can feel the shift between 3-4. Maybe i should have talked to you before i had it rebuilt :D

i know crap about auto trannys. i did have mine rebuilt on my 96 tahoe in cs at john's and he changed the electronic pressure control over to mechanical. it shifts harder and doesnt slip at all. the electronic control is there so you cant feel the shift, but as with any soft shift theres slippage.
