View Full Version : Sterling 10.25 Disk Breaks

what do i need to make this happen.... i want the breaks to work and i dont think drums are gonna cut it with the transfercase gearing.

Warren has the templates that he used on his 10.25 disc conversion. I think he is running 70s 3/4 chevy rotors/calipers. Ill ask him about it if your want to see it.

You should be able to use these brackets: http://www.metalfusionfab.com/weld-on_brake_brackets.htm. I used them for my D70 disc conversion. I'm not sure on the OD of the Sterling axle tubes, but with a bit of grinding and welding they can be made to fit anything. Price is very reasonable also, IMO.

I used '79 Chevy 4x4 front rotors & calipers to complete my swap.

He used 70s Chevy 3/4ton front rotors and calipers and brake lines from a 99+ Superduty. He made the bracket to mount it all up, so ask him for the template. He still has it.
