First thing, how wide is the spring perch spacing on the rear axle of a 93 chevy 1500? Also, any idea how wide wms to wms it should be? Next, will a FF 14bolt bolt in, or will I need to move the spring perches?

wms to wms should be ~65-67" and if the axle is from an `88-newer truck the perches should be the same width. you might have to have the driveshaft shortened tho if the snout on the axle is longer than the 10 bolt.

i'm really just guessin', i dunno anything about chebbys. :p

I dont know about the 10 bolt but the pinion of the 14 bolt FF is actually much shorter than a 14 bolt SF

I'm not sure about the new trucks but on the older trucks (up to 87 on 1/2 tons) a 3/4 ton 14 bolt will bolt right up. A 1 ton is supposed to have a different width, but I have never confirmed this.

The 88-98 body style got some wide ass perches, and I *think* that everything got a little more standardized, so a 1 ton may swap in if it isn't a dually. Go on CK5.com. There are guys there that commit a lot of this stuff to memory.

Hmmm I have a 91 new body style dually at my shop that I could measure for you but A) its at my shop 250 miles away 2) its a dually so it might be different and D) its a cab and chassis dually so ir probably is different. If you still need to know by the next time I go home I'll measure for you though
