Got tired of not having anything to wrench on, (with the bronco still at the deer least, and not being able to find a cruiser in the right shape and right price) so here is my next project....

I KNOW I KNOW.... It's :rainbow: , But finally graduating has givin me alot more time on my hands..... so here goes....

Got the fly arse rig from Kopecki, in a throttle body swap... So far I have disassembled it, straightened the forks, and moved the handle bars forward(for ergonomics, not to mention the nice chopper look), and did some sanding. I also got in a twist grip throttle control and clutch assem., and adjusted the brake pedal.

how :rainbow: can you get!!!

I'm glad your putting that A&M edumacation to good use :gigem:
I'll dig around to see if I have a land cruiser sticker to put on it, so you won't feel left out.

Have you considered stretching the frame? I don't know how we used to fit on that thing, but I remember driving it in high school, and I was the same size I am now.

Yeah I thought about it, but I think my fat arse would look funnier on it as is... Besides I am sure my lady friend will jack it from me when it's finished anyway. and she is 5'2"..

decided not to even mess with the old engine..... So I picked up a brand new 3.5 hp briggs

forks are finished, just need to paint frame, get new clutch in, buy some tires and get the seat made....

and the swap meet cruiser will be finished....

speaking of roll cage, i dont know if yall have seen this before but i saw a guy that built a little moped like that and built a big hoop around the whole thing that would go over your head. He would hit the front brake and the thing would do a complete flip roll thingy and keep driving on ahead. Evil Kneivel stuff.

if you're talking about the guy who built the outside of it as one big tire/drive, he died going way fast in that thing....saw it on Moster Nation.

I know what both of ya'll are talking about, and I think that will have to wait for the next go'round.... this one is almost finished... i am just wait'n for the rest of the goods to come in the mail.

I have the tires, clutch, chain, seat, and paint(I ran out the exact color of paint, and come to find out it has been discontinued, and there are only 69 cans on it left in the US, I had to order one from san antonio) ordered....

I did get those tires that i posted..... kopecki, what did you use to sipe your hummer tires????

theres an upholstery shop right next door to the Honda Motorcycle dealership (Greathouse Motorsports) on....College(?)....it was who quite a few people recommended when i was lookin' to get my bike seat recovered. if he's not there ask the people at the Honda place, he does a lot of work for them.

Just got my motorcycle seat done at Ron's. $55 and he fixed the dry rotten foam and put new a new cover on it. He's an old man and has probably been doing this crap his whole life. I assume he knows what he's doing.

Now if the motorcycle could look as nice as the seat.

had to make a few small mods to the frame once I got the tires in, they were a little wider than what I was expecting....So it has its first few paint chips...

I got the frame from kopecki in a trade
Tires $45
motocylce twist grip $18
paint $20
seat $40
Engine $free (someone owed me some money and that was thier interset payment). engine Retail $209

savvyaggie
02-10-2005, 11:02 PM
fellas, all I have to say is that a 3.5 hp briggs has alot more power than I thought... i took it out on the first run down hardwood and the throttle was sticking, either completely off or completely wide open.. And I do think that if i had a front brake I would almost bet money I could smoke the rear tire...... Yeah baby..

stx4wheeler
02-10-2005, 11:17 PM
hook up a bicyle style front brake and PROVE IT!!! Yeah man i rode one similiar to that one except a little longer with a worn out 3 or 3.5 and it was pretty damn fast

It kinda got away from them, and went into a 1 & 1/2 foot curb and they went over the bike and got cut up pretty bad.... it was not pretty at all... guess I'll wait on the performance upgrades for awhile, looks like it is already powerful enough as it is(if you lean back she'll ride a wheelie!!!).....

I Feel kinda bad about it, but they were only worried about messing up the bike...

we'll try it again, this time with a helmet...

these are cool. I saw these today. they have like 40 of them up for auction. It is like a 1960's version of a segway. you stand up in the back on a big rocking thing like on an old sewing machine. the more you step on it the faster it goes. There is a little flat deck area to put crap on. Only thing bad about them is they are low to the ground. Some were customized by their former union operator and had chopper bars and little cup holders. I'm guessing they came from some huge assembly line of some sorts like Northrop Grumman, Lockheed or GM in Arlington?

I want one!
They were all dead so who knows if they will charge and how long they last.
