Like I said at the meeting, I have sent the owner an email and yes their site is down which makes me kind of skeptical of whether or not they are still having people out there after last years accident.

Before we go jumping the gun on anything let me get an o.k from the owner first before we go setting dates.

apparently some guy rolled over and wasnt wearing his seatbelt so he got thrown from the truck and died

Now see this is how rumors get started, no one said the guy died, as a matter of fact i do believe i said he was air lifted out as precautionary measures......

anyways, show up to the meetings or check the minutes, all of this has been discussed

You said at the meeting that the accident was at Trees. So it was at Cline?

Here is the story again for those unfortunate enough to miss the meeting

Cline ranch is the one in medina, me mancuso and Matt Merek all went this summer. It was the first run put on by Midnight Fourwheelers out of Uvalde. A guy and his son where riding together when the last obsticle of the day where everyone was standing around the guy tried to climb it and got a lead foot. Next thing you know he is going over backwards, he gets ejected about halfway down and the vehicle rolled over him and then ended up at the bottom. They cut his kid out of the seatbelt, called the paramedics and got him out of there. I am not to sure that cline will be opening back up due to this problem but have sent the owner of the ranch an email with no responce back yet. I am trying to get us a trip out there but seeing as how we are gettin our advisor situation worked out this has taken second priority.

here is the original trip link

I bet Alto will still be a little wet next weekend (however it would be great if you just wanna play in the mud). I have heard that Gilmer needs to be pretty dry too, but never been there so I don't know.
The Den might be a better contingency plan.

Gilmer does get pretty nasty when its raining. almost all of the trails are on that east texas red clay which get slicker'n frog snot when its wet. doesnt mean its not fun....just extra challenging, add a diamond to the trail. :gigem:

Yea, that time I went out there and nobody else showed up, it was raining pretty good. I almost slid down a hill and fubared myself.
