I am look at building a new steering for my TJ. I am thinking I will use 1.5 3/8 wall DOM and 3/4 heims. I need some advice as where to get the tubing/heims and wether to use weld in bungs or to tap the tubing if possible

Im tellin ya, buy the rock proof kit, it is sooo much stronger than anything you can build and trust me, if you wheel it you will bend everything else on the market. Steering is not one of those things you take lightly, kinda like brakes..

Anything will bend if you hit it hard enough.

i always knew conlee would be someones poster boy. :flipoff2: I hear of quite a few people running dom and not havng any problems. plus now check out this cool little piece so that you can adjsut your alignment with hydro steer, the first one is homeade and the second is a piece you can buy. Yall might have already seen it but, i thought it was cool.
