I know I've heard a lot of good things about Jess & HAD, but I'm not sure if I can foot this bill. Here's the quote on the goods:

Front
NP205 32 spline output $135.00
Driveline 1410 (no CV) $400.00
Yokes for Driveline $79.00/end x 2

Rear (w/brake)
NP205 Flange $109.00
Driveline ? (w/CV) $419.00
e-Brake Kit $269.00

Grand total of: $1490

This gets me two bad ass driveshafts and a NP205 brake. I assume that these are good prices for the heavy duty **** that they are, but I'm wondering what my alternatives would be and what they would cost. Anyone have any good ideas?

What do other shafts cost? I could do El Dorado e-brake instead.

I'm interested in feedback from the research Gods.

maybe get one from a junkyard and have bvd shorten it?

I think 1410's are way overkill. James was runnin 1310's on his bronco and the suspension gave before the ujoint did :D

I agree with the 1310s. Don't get me wrong, 1410s are cool, but if I'm gonna break something, then a driveshaft U-joint is a helluva lot easier to change then having one go on your axle and it taking the stub shaft with it. It's the "fuse" argument all over again.

when I talked to jess i settled on a 1350 u-joint... plenty of beef, and leaves me spares for the tow rig. :D

I don't think you'll find better prices anywhere else on all that **** you want...

take your E-brake kit off and your 32 spline output off... driveshafts like you want from Arizona or Tom Woods will be that expensive and you'll STILL need the yokes.

So I'm in the "going rate" area, I just need to go with the smaller ones. You know I have no idea (or desire to know) what 1410s are in comparison to others. I just want it to work. I do appreciate the "weakest link" insite.

Not to say that you're the weakest link Andy. :D
