Rear shackle for 89 Blazer

I need a rear shackle for an 89 blazer, lets just say I wasnt too informed when I was hacking at stuff earlier this week.

im gonna go out on a limb here and say you are talking about the spring hanger, or is that what you were calling a perch. the shackle is the thing that looks like two peices of plate with holes in them and then there are bolts. wait... that is what they are, just make your own.

Nope he lopped on of the ears off the shackle. It would be difficult to make a sturdy set of shackles for the rear of a chevy because of the taper so he's better off just finding another pair.

ah, my bad. they're the funky shaped ones huh? i dunno if they'd anneal too much just heating them to bend em or not. shouldnt be too hard to find, if not here then the j-yard.

Yah, eric told me to just make new ones, but they are tapered and whatnot so I'm just gonna buy a new set. No, I'm taking the front spring hangers to the rear axle and adding those in place of the rear hangers of the rear axle. And then just new shackles and I'll be good to go.

no if they had gone in the bed of the Ugly truck, they would be lying on the street underneath where the bed should be (er...where the bed normally is)
