I need my tires to stick out farther. What size backspacing would I need? Is it the lower the number the wider the stance? What is the right size width for 12.5 tires, 8" or 10"? Right now I have 8."

Thanks

BACKSPACING

Definition: The distance from the back edge of a wheel rim to the back of the center section

so less back spacing = stick out more

I put 12.5 on 10" rims, but discount said they would put them on 8's
hell BDR has 15.50's on a 7" rim

get ten inch rims with like a 2 in backspacing thats prolly the least they have without going with a fancy or custom wheel.

10's would make it wider and give it more tread on the ground... also as they said the more backspacing the less they stick out... my 17"s on my bronco have 5.5or6.5 i cant remember and they are in the fender so much that i am having 2" spacers made so it turns better

2.5" is the lowest....

Now I need to decide on 8" or 10"

8" for a 12.50 tire, it will hold the tire on better and it helps to not have the added width on there.

ditto on the 8" imo. backspacing has never made sense to me-ive always that bigger the number the more the wheel sticks out but i may be wrong????

Ordered 4 15x8R15 2.5" BS Black Rockcrawler Serier 51s and a receiver tube shackle today for ~$268.

No matter how much I say I won't spend any money on this thing I keep having more things to buy....

I'm also going to take a leaf or two out of the rear springs. They don't flex for ****.

Just make sure your springs don't start wrapping up or you'll pretzel them like I did
