Some kind of event going on there. About 90% sure I'll go.
July 29 marks the end of a lot of deadlines for me, so I may even celebrate with a

Don't forget to give lucifer a try :flipoff2:

Damnit, I want to go to tree's so bad, but it seems like every weekend they have an event, there is a reason I can't go. I'll see if I can swing that weekend, but since I'm gonna be doing Phys208 in one of those 4 week semesters at blinn during that time, I don't know if I'll be able to spare the weekend off. I guess we'll see

There is gonna be a big run on memorial day, called the texas twister. At the bottom of the page is a link describing the trail I mentioned and the bounty they have on it

okay I just wrote a whole long story and got logged off before submitting, so here's the short and sweet version:
Trees Ranch Rocks, a solid 4 hour drive from here, probably only about 2 from San Antonio.
Lots of great terrain and a variety of trails, with plenty of shade which makes it my choice for summer wheelin.

Mario, recognize this rig? Some really cool guys from the Uvalde area in similar rigs (one GMC Jimmy, the other was a Dodge Power Ram) that we wheeled with most of the weekend:

hangover hill, I didn't get to attempt cuz the next guy to get on it broke his steering:

looks like fun. how long were the trails? or was it more like little play areas?

AggieTJ2007
08-01-2005, 07:33 PM
the trails are really long, the ones that we were on were not extremely hard except in a few areas but we were on the easier trails. Most of the trails follow the creek bed.

Violentv8toy
08-02-2005, 04:45 PM
yeah, thats josh and chuy romo. The guy in the blue dodge is Earl. They're from my hometown. Very nice guys. Chuy does welding for me now and then.

uglyota
08-02-2005, 04:53 PM
Yeah Chuy and Earl...I couldn't remember Earl's name
He borrowed a semi from his work and hauled both their rigs and one other down there in it. They also slept in the A/c :D

the place is huge, the trails are long and most of them don't have go-arounds. It also takes a while to get to some of the trails, like a half hour or more from camp on trails just rough enough to beat you up and keep you moving slow

Doug Krebs
08-02-2005, 06:30 PM
how big is the place?

uglyota
08-03-2005, 09:56 AM
freakin huge! They call it TX's largest offroad park. I would bet it's somewhere along the lines of 5000 acres or more
