So I bought a car hauler, tandem 3500# axles. Got it from a guy in Louisianna, it is a "Cajun Master" brand, which translates to generic factory built. My question lies here, the axles have flanges for brakes. Anyone know where I can get a kit to add brakes to atleast one set of axles. I am thinking electric, not hydraulic. Anyone with experience in this chime in, as I am ignorant of the entire thing.

any trailer truck outfitter etc should carry them. look in the yellow pages under "trailer/towing"

Tractor Supply has them, but probably find them cheaper elsewhere. The backing plates just bolt to the flange, and the drum/hub replaces the hub allready on it. Then you have to put a electric brake controller in pickup. Add some wires and it might work.
