Planning any trip at least a month out is a good idea. Gets more people interested. This is especially the case at the beginning of the year, with a bunch of fish that need to get their ducks in a row before going.

That said, I am planning on going to this, though I may take it easy or even ride along since I am going to Clayton the following weekend and don't want to break my shizzle.

I just checked, and I have three tests the week before, so gilmer is out. I guess I'll be at 47 barring any unexpected changes to my work schedule

NP & Yes. The $$$ even made it in the tire all the way to 47. (I forgot you had stuck it in there and I stuck the tire on the trailer.

my guess is yes, we will be splitting up some. Since it sounds like we will have a fairly large group, splitting up into smaller groups will help keep everything moving and allow people to get out and wheel more vs sitting in line waiting

It is a good time and Gilmer is a great place. It looks like that "Vintage Military Trucks" coincides with our event, that might be pretty b!tchin. It is open to anyone and I would encourage everyone to come out.

Gilmer, its not just for Scouts anymore.

honestly, I want to wait till november because I've allready lined up a nice tow rig, I've still got some little things I want to work out before a long trip, and that trip is gonna have to cover me till after christmas (no clayton trip for me :( )

I talked to him tonight - he's cool. BTW, I went on what was supposed to be a short & easy little tour of the park tonight with Nathan. Blowing another bead, fubaring the entire other side of my truck, and having wiring problems were not supposed to be part of the program... I'll post pics tomorrow after I cry myself to sleep.

We didn't do enough not to wheel on Sunday. He has some things to work on before then. The driver's side does match the body damage on the passenger side!!!! I took some good pictures that he will post later today.

-We did learn to air up the tires more and we did better after he blew the first bead.

also a cold front is suppost to be coming it, so if it stays around it will be a good weekend for drinkin, wrenchin and wheelin.

and i had 5 tests and 2 projects this week... so thats exactly what im doing

And I think sulfur is like one of the few things that repels them so ummm yeah...take it like a man or stink like a whore :gigem:

Well, being as we were kinda ditched and had you as our wonderful guide, it made it all the more a fun adventure! haha! :) next time, i'll remember to bring ibuprofen and carmex! haha

looking forward to the next trip, maybe i won't puss out so much and actually take my truck out . . . we'll see!

I had a pretty good time, except for smashing my grillgaurd/bumper. But it wasn't anything ramming that telephone pole didn't fix :flipoff2: . Wow, I really need to get the heap done. :rolleyes:
