I had a question that i was trying to get answered ... I drive a 02 Wrangler and i have a 2"coil spacer, 1"motor mount lift, 1"body lift, and a 3/4" polymer front spacer and i was wondering if it's possible to take out the 2"coil spacer and replace my coil springs with ones for a 3"lift without any other components ... I already have the shocks so that is not a problem, i just don't know ligistically if this will work. Let me know porfavor. :gigem:

It should, but thats probably as tall as your going to get with stock stuff. Stock parts worked fine on my jeep until I went past 3"

Rear trackbar, and swaybar links might be an issue also..

I think with my 3.5" RE, we also had to drill a new hole for the front trackbar, but that was a while ago..so I forget.

yea swaybar is def gonna be a problem cause the stock one is not long enough ... but i'm not soo sure about the track bar, i think stock one might be ok

I say go with a R.E. 3.5" or 5.5" kit, you'll be thankful later that you didn't waste money on something that your just gonna want to upgrade later. Go with 5.5" and run 35"s like Brandon said, then when you get money, regear and lock it up. Just my .02. :flipoff2:

I'd definitely go with the RE 3.5", comes with everything ya need and isn't a tough install. You can run 33s fine with that combo. But, depending on what rearend ya got, you could keep the body lift, and shove some 35s under there. Regearing, locking-up, or spending any money at all on a Dana 35c (besides spare parts), is not a good idea.

Just ask Creighton about his d35, unless you want to waste money on chromolly shafts, CTM u-joints, and a crap load of other stuff, it'd be better to just swap in something else. There's all kinds of options, but really unless your planning on making your rig a hardcore trail only rig I wouldn't worry about it. Just lock it up and be easy on the skinny petal (opposite of Creighton, just don't watch him.. :flipoff2: ).

Creighton doesn't have a D35c, he runs a D30/D44. D35c is the standard rear-end in TJs, and is a horrible piece of crap.

Ive got some 2.5" blocks and ubolts ill sell ya then all you need is coils, shocks, prob lower control arms. you could keep your spacer with bigger coils. Ive never been a fan of spacers but people run them w/o problems so :gigem:

ugly and I raced up a hill in Alto the first night. I am sorry to say that I lost by a little bit, but I had the harder side

and yeah, go with the 4.5 because it will give you almost 6 inches of lift if that is what you want. I would recomend replacing the front track bar w/ an adjustable one, and getting some new control arms so they won't bind.

Your decision really decides on how much wheeling you want to do, or if you want to drive it around on the street. I would also recomend adjustable uppers in the front so that you can dial in the allignment, as well as in the rear so you can set the pinion angle for the SYE if you decided to go that route, which I recomend over 3 inches

I've got my money on eric. Street? Come on this is an offroad forum. We can do it like that old toyota where they raced the tundra against a lotus in the 1/4 mile. The lotus was kicking ass for the first 1/8 of a mile, that is until the track ran out :D

i think he has the 44 rear, in his and i would also wait for the kit, it will out perform a piece meal setup, be a lot safer and reliable, it wil be worth the wait to save the money and do it right the first time since you drive it everyday.

AggieTJ2007

also putting it together yourself in peices will end up costing you more, and it won't perform nearly as good. Yes lifting a TJ can be a hefty amount of change, but the performance in worth it. You would also be supprised what you can do stock w/ some tires. Maybe add some lockers and a flat skid plate. youde be set
