I'm wondering how I should go about getting my driveshafts made, should I go to someone local or in the club, or get it done by high angle or tom woods?? I'm looking for the cheapest, but not someone who'll do a halfass job. If anyone has any references let me know, or if you have an extra yoke to an 8.8". Also I'm still trying to find out who'll make some spring plates and u-bolts as well as two perches for the rear (not the T.S.C. kind.. :flipoff2: ). Let me know. Thanks

I like to use 2" sch40 pipe. A driveshaft is a simple concept. Its a slip and 2 yokes with something in between, it needs to be fairly straight, and it needs to be thick enough to not dent and break.

Cody (Chevsu) can make you some.

just make one... the one me and cj made in the barn in katemsy looks damn good.

theres also that place on south college bryan drive line or something like that

i always just found some mexican in corpus that has a little hole in the wall shop with about a 1000 driveshafts stacked up on the counter and said here make this.

me to i got a mexican guy at home that does it for insanely cheap prices, but that is also 6 and a half hours away and you need to know broken spanish to communicate with him.

I went to NAPA and there gonna have the U-bolts in by tomorrow. They also said there's a place to get perches in Bryan somewhere that I'm gonna try and find. I'm also gonna stop by BVD tomorrow to get the shafts made. Maybe if I can get some tires and the hubs back by next weekend it'll be wheeling at 47 on Sunday. Oh and not all of us lived in beenerville and had cheap labor accessable. :flipoff2:

If you have the yoke for the 8.8 or know someone who's got one I could come by anytime this week, whatever's convenient for you. I'd like to get em' done before Friday. What do you usually charge, I've seen some of the other member's shaft's that you made and they look good.
