My powerstroke starters were allways around $50, so the GM one should be cheaper. There is a place on Texas in Deep Bryan that rebuilds starters.

the guy next door has all kinds of crap...he supplies the parts to the rebuild shop. he had a used starter for my rover. it went out the day we were heading to llano. had it fixed in an hour after dicking around all day w/ the rebuild shop while they were trying to figure out if they could rebuild it or not. lots of fun.... and thank God I had saddle bags on my motorcycle.
