anyone with a jeep manual know the torque specs for the ring gear on a dana 30 and an amc 20? i left my jeep manual at home with the scout, camaro and taurus manuals.:)

my factory book says 70-90 lbs

is that for the amc 20 or d30? also, i need the specs for the d30 hubs. its an 84 cj-7 if that helps any.

too lazy to look, but check out randys website, or west coast diff. One of them has instructions online.

fred looked up the main bearing caps for me.
dana 30- 60 ft-lbs
amc 20- 65 ft-lbs

well somebody that has a jeep fsm look up the specs for the hubs for me, please.
why does my phobia of pirates flare up when i hear the letters fsm?

Just use the specs for whatever grade of 3/8" bolts you have in there.

im referring to the five 3/8" bolts for the lockouts. that sounds like the second spindle nut? i used the same torque on it that i did for the lockout bolts.
