I finally made some new brackets for my cattle guard and got it all squared away, but in the process I finally finished off my Hella's...The damn housing's were junk. They were made out of plastic and kept cracking so I kept joo'ing em' back together with sheetmetal screws. As far as lighting goes, what have ya'll had the best luck with?

KC's. Totaly redneck but they have metal housings and are crazy bright. Make sure you get the 150 amp ones and no the 100's. I intend to get some for the crewcab when I find myself with some extra money.

pro comp 8 in. 130 watts, they are much brighter from kc's, and all metal.

Just finished installing the Pro Comp 8" 130's they look good, are bright, and weren't too pricey.

Edit- I wish Jimmy and all the scout fags were there at 4wp's, they had a badass suburban looking scout with a bunch of shat done to it.

Old thread revival.

SO I need some 6" lights, post mounting style for my bumper on order. LEDs and HIDs seem pretty sweet, but no way I want to spend that type of skrilla. I want bright as **** lights for under 200, preferably under 150. Suggestions?

Easy, KC 130w Daylighters are under $150, buy off of amazon, free shipping. That's the brightest you are gonna get without getting expensive or into HID conversions.

Hella 500's with the chinese hid conversion. That's what Travis has, they blow 130w kc's out of the water.

I have had Hella 500s and really do not like the cheesiness of how they are built. But I won't rule them out yet. WHat all is involved in the HID conversion. I think I remember travis having a thread about it.

What about a HID conversion on something with a metal housing? I can only imagine the plastic housings on the hellas will fall apart after a few uses with the HIDs with how hot they get.

All I have heard about Travis's lights is how finicky they are, however, this is from third parties.

KC: Easy install, Fawkin America, 23 year factory warranty.

What about the cheap kragan hids? I've read quite a few good reviews of them

I have looked for them. They are hard to find. Rugged ridge has some for pretty cheap.

Sometimes I have to flip the switch a couple time to get the bulbs to light

Look up Baja Racing Supply on Facebook, really good deals on 4" and 7" HIDs in spot and flood pattern.

Prices?

They can get 4" and 7" in either flood or spot pattern and 35 watt or 55 watt. 35 watt $85 a piece add $10 per light if you want 55 watt. They also carry a ton of different sizes of LED bars. The only two that I know the price of are: 30" bar for $350 and 50" bar for $700.

Not bad, but does that include a wiring harness?

Not sure about the wiring harness, best thing to do is to call the shop directly, they are good guys and will help you out. If they don't come with one, how much is a wiring harness from vatozone, like $7?

I like the long range pattern better than the driving ones that I had before. Also, less glare off of the hood.

Sweet, everyone I know so far that has a Rigid product loves it. I'm about to get a set of duallys in white spot pattern to try out. Was going to get a set for Christmas, but I'm just now getting around to ordering them.

Travis, who did you buy the HID conversion kit through? DDM? Or just chinese eBay stuff?

BroncoJo

Ddm, and they are straight from China...
