While crawling around under the crewcab today I noticed the muffler has a few little holes in it so it looks like it time to replace it. I want a QUIET muff, no frat daddy flowmaster 40's. I need a 2 in 1 out version and I believe the pipe sizes are 3" in and 3.5" out. The motor is a vortec 454.

Here are a few that I have come up with so far.

http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=main&id=1100

Dynomax and Gibson's websites both suck and I couldnt find anything that would fit my application but if yall have any recomendations I'm all ears.

I, as former president of the Texas A&M FFA, recommend dual flowmasters dumped before the axle. I know of a great exhaust shop in Tarkington that does some Kustom work :D

I have a 40 series with 3" inlet, dual 3" out, dumped behind the rear axle. I like how it sounds, not too loud...

The magnaflow is reversable. Flowmaster 40s might sounds good on my truck since I gots the 454 but I want to kick a puppy every time I hear a Z71 with them on it.

I like the way my magnaflow sounds on the scout, I think it's 2.25 in and 3" out or some ****. Here's a pic...

after driving my white bronco for 4 yrs with dual flow 40's, on it, and now driving the crewcab without a stock muffler on it i would never go with a flowmaster 40 again, the quiteness(not even sure if this is a word) is prety nice. i still think they sound nice on some trucks, and still love to give my white bronco some **** when i drive it to hear the exhaust note.

Yet on the big nasty as ryan said i am taking off the dual 2.5 turbo mufflers-which sound good but still to loud and putting on a flow 80 series 3 inch-this muffler is freaking huge, and i am also getting rid of my headers in favor off stock manifolds.

i dont know if i am losing my highschool flavors or just getting older as i am tired of not being able to hear myself think while driving any of my vehicles. If i were you robert i would put dual turbo mufflers, with an h or x-over pipe. heck i might even know a guy with some summit turbo mufflers for sale. :flipoff2:

I'm hoping to be able to install it myself so the closer fit it is to stock the better. I'm liking the magnaflow more and more. If I get the stainless one will I be able to clamp it onto the mild steel factory exhaust pipe?
