Badass show! The only thing I hate about concerts like this is the guys only play for 30-45 minutes. I thought Bobby Keen might have been a little drunk, but maybe this was just the first time I saw him relatively sober? If you haven't heard Hayes Carll you have to check him out, he is a bad dood. He looks like he should be playing in Seattle somewhere, and although he smiles from time to time and you can tell he is having fun, he kind of has this downtrodden feel. He sings his own version of the Johnny Cash Song, "I've been everywhere" and when it gets to the part where he lists all the places he has been he says, "Houston, Houston, Houston, Houston...." For some reason he played after Robert Earl, so he of course thanked Robert Earl for opening for him. The concert was in the pavilion, so the rain didn't bother us, good times.
