We are thinkin of makin a trip there on the 24th-25th weekend of June. We were thinking about going to Trees, but thats a long drive to the middle of nowhere and I will have just got home. The Generals is just about 2 hours for me, so it looks like this may be a good one. If anybody goes, let me know how it was.

Ed have you been to Alto yet? I think you'll like it better and it may be closer to you

Yeppers, we went and froze our @$$'s off in february. We are thinking of going to their 4th of july at alto, but there is no telling this far out. I would like to get a group together for these trips, but I know how schedules can be and it being down the calendar so far makes it that much harder. Alto was alot of fun, I did have to do some work on the radiator and hoses there. I swamped my brandnew 650 a-cat too. Its still in the shop. It is a cool place, and sams and alto are both cool because my stepdad gets to come out. He works at the buffalo livestock auction on saturdays, so he can stay out there with us and slip off to work and come back. I am up for anything, if anyone wants to make a trip (I don't know if a trip to CO or NM would be feasible) just let me know. I have a spot for Big Ed's mobile shaggin' shack at Sam's, I may call Alto and see if they have any spots for the 4th. :gigem:

On our way out to Alto for the 24 June trip, when we crossed over I-45 at Madisonville I though about how close we were to GS's. It is only 15 or 20 minutes south on 45 from there, and we had another hour and a half of drivin left. One of the guys here at work went there the Pre 4th weekend and said he really liked it, said it was as good as alto or better, but he hasn't been to alto in a few years so it was hard for him to compare. I don't think they got any pictures, I will get them posted if he can get any.
