the forecast thus far shows that the rain is supposed to quit by this weekend in llano. if it does end up raining much, however, the river fills quickly and i would advise evacuation. anyone who wants to come is welcome at my grandma's about 15 minutes from the slabs. plenty of floor space and probably a good breakfast the next morning....unless "naw, you're tight"....

I am not worried about the river cause the bronco loves to swim. But that might be a good idea we should see what the river is running at before we go. And they might have a good idea what the river does when it rains.

If that bronco loves swimming so much I'd love to watch you float it out into the Llano... it would do my sould good to know another big bronco had bit the dust... Hell, I wouldn't take a boat out on the llano after it had rained much there...

Hey if his bronco lives to swim, let them go swimming. Hell I saw a special the other day and monster trucks will float on their tires. Everyone has to learn the hard way at least once. Maybe more than once. I will be out on an exciting geology field trip boys, hope yall have fun.
Seth

PS - seriously though, be careful when it comes to rain and rivers, esp if beer is involved.

Anyone every seen Dante's Peak? The part where the nice Burban get like windonw deep in the river is pretty badass, but doubt that it would not have suffered damage. The LLano after a rain is pretty much not wheelable so i've heard

Don't be too scared. We've taken bone stock vehicles out there. But if you don't want to sink the grocery getter, the water has to be at a normal level and you will need someone to spot you (read: walk) at almost all times. Those who haven't heeded this advice have had to buy engines!

Austin, he's been there before twice, so i think he'll be ok. Plus he's got a detroit in the rear, so he may not get stuck like in the sand. It's not really the vehicle you drive there, it's how you drive the vehicle and where you drive the vehicle. Hell i've pulled 4 people out of someone's back yard before!!!! So don't be scared, and for the love of god if you do get in a bad situation, call for some help!!!! And i'm not wheeling at night in this place ever again, unless it is absolutely neccasary i.e. it's raining and we have to leave... Here is what happens when you wheel at night!!!

Sorry Doug just have enough room for a Jeep, the back axle of the blazer would be hanging off.
The next weekend is San Antonio for me, Gilmer will just have to wait.
