whats yours?

this doesnt do auto trannies. you have to put it in manually. lets standardize torque converter to be 2.0:1

ex: 700r4 1st gear= 3.06:1 tc=2 so put 6.12 in for 1st gear.

http://www.4x4help.com/resources/calculators/final-ratio.htm

the scout
crawl ratio: 68.5
speed @ 2000 RPM (highway): 69.7mph
speed @ 750 rpm (crawl): 1.7 fps

I prefer to go faster. Slow gets boring. Maybe try wheeling and see what you like.

ok mine is right now

w/ 231
Crawl Ratio: 49.55
Crawl Speed: 2.16 fps
Highway speed: 65 mph @ 2200 rpm

W/ the doubler 231/300
Crawl ratio: 135.28
Crawl speed: 0.78 fps or 47 fpm

and a top speed of 147mph if I was able to reach redline in OD

and that why to cases, you can go really slow or go faster

67:1 with the sm420 or 2mph (108fpm)...nice combo cause you can let it idle and crawl at a pretty decent speed but you also have some pretty good tire spin at 3-4k :D
Also seems to idle up stuff alot easyer with the stroker....including curbs.
134mph at 5k....if nothing flies off

My dream setup once I win the lottery will be at 50:1 - 68:1 with an auto so that should be nice
....now accepting donations :flipoff2:
191mph at 5k -pimp-

Shaggy

i dont need no 100:1 because i have auto and big hp... so i can deal with 50:1 atleast till i have it completed and have extra cash to throw at the 205

Shaggy
05-10-2006, 04:07 PM
I heard there is also a 3:1 kit for the 203 with that in the 205 also it would get me 113.6:1 hmmm

do you have to sign a contract when you buy a rubicon stating that you will never turn your own wrench again?

do you have to sign a contract when you buy a rubicon stating that you will never turn your own wrench again?

I never said I wasn't going to do the work, I said their shop is 30 mins away....just makes it easy to get to know the guys that design the stuff and see it first hand how its fabbed, not to mention price breaks for being local wheelers....

but yes your right, when you pay good money for a good rig, the dealer becomes a friends for the stuff thats under warranty, which is pretty much everything for 7years 70k miles, let them do it for free, yes thats how i roll..

If enough stuff breaks on my truck that me and the dealer become friends, my truck is a lemon and our friendship will be short-lived.

Jerry, you must remember.....TJ's are unreliable piles of **** that break constantly. Nick, being a jeep douche from way back, has learned to accept the fact that it's going to break, and has decided to be positive about the situation and just become friends with the service writer.

AggieTJ2007

hey now, mine doesn't break and I drive it all of the time. Knock on wood

edit: but it has 75000 miles and no warranty. Last time i took it in for the airconditioning controls they told me not to come back again

you have to get a new housing, gears, etc... At least for the one I've seen. It's pretty damn expensive, something in excess of $1200. For that and the doubler you could have gotten an atlas or something similar.

AggieTJ2007
05-10-2006, 09:55 PM
bettery off just building a 241 doubler or something of the sorts, not quite 3:1 but pretty close

Unless he swapped in a th400 or a chevy 205 with the 400 pattern there will probably not be a 3:1 205 in his future, because thats the only pattern replacement cases they have developed yet

i think tire size needs to be calculated to mean anything - like the crwl speed - i dont feel like doin the math but think of what the equiv crawls would be for 33 35 40 etc tires...

Ok, if we are adding in crawl speed, I am running 2.07 fps / 124.29 fpm @ 800 rpm's with 38"s, and 2.40 fps / 143.9 fpm @ 800 rpm's with 44"s

Now here is some wishful thinking.

465 / atlas4 / 4.56's

atlas high/low(2.72:1) crawl ratio 81.11:1 / 1.89 fps / 100.6 fpm @ 800 rpm's

atlas low/high(3.81:1) crawl ratio 113.32:1 / 1.35 fps / 71.8 fpm @ 800 rpm's

atlas low/low(10.34:1) crawl ratio 308.24:1 / 0.50 fps / 26.5 fpm @ 800 rpm's

Crawl ratio: 363.6:1
Crawl Speed: .395 fps / 237 fpm
65 mph @ 2700
