I know you fawkers have webwheeled these to death. One of mine is fawked (avalanche engineering) <Southpark on> We didn't listen!!! <Southpark off>

Which ones do I get, I need to order today. I need some for Chevy TRE's and I need a little length to them in order to work right with the long scout pitman arm. John who's did you use on yours? TIA.

mine are sky and fuggin' holes are too close to run your tre's check and make sure the 44 ones are different.

Fred talked to Parts Mike today, think I'm going to go with a waggy Pitman Arm and shorter steering arms from PM.

agjohn02

why?

edit: ive thought about going to a shorter pitman arm before but keepiong the scout steering arms. since my tires rub the springs i cant use all the turn i have. if i used a shorter pitman arm id lose some turning but gain more mechanical advantage, making steering easier.

Parts Mike sent me an arm with one hole on each side, like you would use if you were running the inverted "T" set-up, with the passenger TRE with the hole in it. I have been running the kind with two holes in the passenger arm. I like that idea better, but he seems to exclusively sell those arms, although he can get the one with two holes, and that is what he said he was going to do. Can you think of any benefit to running the inverted T, or should I just get the right arm and keep what I've got? I would have to shorten both links, that is why I don't like it, and the TRE with the hole in it doesn't seem that strong to me. What do you guys think?

two holes

unless you have all the parts there now for the yeep set-up... try it out.

maybe two tre's wont fit on one of those short little baby arms

i've got some blank arms that we could drill holes in, grind flat, and run bolts for the weekend.

did you get the reamer?

we'll take a look at it all tonight as we thrash to put it back together. I think I'll be fine running the PSC box & pump, with the avalanche arms. Just tighten up the loose one as best as possible, and take along the PM arm just in case. I thought about running the PM one on the driver, and the avalanche on the other, but they are different lengths, which probably wouldn't matter that much. We'll kludge something together and take some spare crap, that's how I roll!

do you want me to grab the reamer bit here at work just in case?

I've got a memorial to go to tonight, but I'll bring them by afterwards and we'll start the kludge

a flemco arm or a busted avalanche arm....hmmmmm ;) If they don't need that bit grab it, who knows.

Kickass! Looks like I'll be strongarming it again after I put all my ****ty steering back together, unless of course I rob a certain other scout sitting in the driveway...

PSC's lead times suck. It took me a month to get Lissa's box, and now this ****-up...

If you decide not to go I'll be in town tomorrow afternoon...

I'd ask if you guys want to get a beer tomorrow some time, but I'll be at the Mavs game... :flipoff2:

:flipoff2:

I got to thinking that maybe I should work on it a little at a time instead of 2 weeks before an event and then not touch it again until 2 weeks before the next event...NAHHHH!
