volume of a cylinder = pi*(radius^2)*ht
one cubic inch=0.004 329 004 gallon
1 gallon water=about 8 pounds
subtract the volume of the cylinder approximated by your rim from the volume of the cylinder approximated by your tire, convert cubic inches to gallons and multiply by 8 to get pounds of flotation per tire, multiply by 4 to get total flotation.

I weigh about 3400 pounds with only about 1350 pounds of flotation. Guess I shouldn't try :D

much...4-44x18 on a 15" rim is only 3350 lbs

Kinda like that little green thing that was in TTC awhile back. It was a 2 seater but they were inline and it had some kinda ricer motor mounted in the rear. It was rolling on 42 or 44" TSL's and the body on it was completely sealed. It was on like half ton axles and it had a ****ing functional propeller on the back. It totaly kicked ass, it was one of only two rigs to make it all the way through the mud pit.

There was also that giant old crewcab ford rollin on 8 53's on pirate awhile back. That was 100% tire flotation and a damn heavy truck to boot.

This is a true 2 wheel drive bike, the tires can be filled with extra gas or used to float it across streams!
