I am still looking for a shop here in SA. I found one that I wanted but turns out they dont allow you to work on vehicles in storage units. They had one warehouse available but at 2500sf and $600 a month rent plus required million dollar insurance policy it seemed a bit out of my range. All the other places that i have been looking at have the same policy. I found one company called Brokers Logistics that does warehousing in my size all the way to 70000sf he said he was gonna call me back tomorrow when he finds out what he has available. But pretty much right now looks like i will be just making trips to cs to work on the bronco. I am off Monday and Tuesday next week so if I get a place here I will be moving, but if i dont I think i will be in CS for some wrench turning. If that is the case, and it most likely will be, i will be setting the gears front and rear and then building the brackets for the disc breaks in the rear. I also want to build the tie-rod and drag-link and set up the hydro-assist. We will see how much i can really get done in two days. Who is for some wrenching monday and tuesday?

ps anyone know a place in sa that i can work on my bronco I need something atleast 12'x30'

Live at your gf's mom's place a while longer and buy a few acres to build a shop on!

you have to find one of those out of the way places.

My friends shop where I built the Patrol was at a storage place out in the Boonies.

They had other shops there too - a BBQ pit builder, a cabinit maker, a morticycle shop, and a marble countertop guy

Good luck :gigem:

scott did his patrol in houston... probably just suggesting to look further out of town.

Remember driving cost money, which could pay for a shop that is closer.

where are you living?

apartment?

How much is the difference of renting a house with a garage?

How much would you spend on a shop?

thats what I did, a house with a garage was less than an apartment and a storage room

The Mazda is in my garage on jack stands. I've painted the floor with some grey epoxy and after I kill my CC debt I'll be buying things like a workbench, cabinets, vice, drill press, etc.. Plenty of room for the Mazda in there as I don't keep much **** stockpiled.

That is your best bet - and then you don't have to drive to the shop to do any work - all your stuff is at the house!

Detached garages are nicer though - you need one like mine :D

where you keeping the mazda?

The lights were the first project. The floor came next. I highly recommend both. They are also both easy and cheap.

Found a house yet?
