Lissa should buy George, De-greenify her jeep, and unloa...I mean sell it to some nice hikeschooler, and profit a few grand.

Edit: Step two would have to be learn how to drive a stick.

You must have noticed how I stratigically placed the picture with her in the passenger seat ;) If you would like, I can cut and past her into the driver seat so she can picture herself driving it

AC?

Has the body taken any hits since I last saw it?

How fast can it go?

Lynda

About 25mph downhill :D

I drive it to the airport every now and then and it holds 70 just fine. Sometimes you have to downshift to 4th...

It has an AC but a hose broke off a long time ago and we never fixed it.

body damage??

what kinda shape is the interior in??

Lynda

Body Damage? Of couse theres Body Damage! It's an off-road truck silly :D As Scott would say..."Just get a bigger hammer, it'll come out". I'm not sure how true that is...the dents are still there  The roll cage is not bolted to the frame, however it is reinfoced with steel plates on the tub. The back bench seat is still in good condition (we havn't used it, it's been sitting in the garage). The front seats each have a tear along the seam of the seat and thats about it. There is no carpeting and no rust. The dash is fine too, no cracks, everything works. Oh yeah, the check engine light has been on for about 3 years.

today i told elise that i closed my mutual funds (they have gained big over the years but have dropped 300$ in the last 2 months) and that next week when i get the check in the mail that i wont have any credit card debt at all. This made her a little happy... she made the comment maby we can afford the jeep. she has money in the bank so maby give me a couple days and we have the cash

To clarify:
We have the carpet if you want to put it back in, but carpet isn't cool... The passenger seat is good, the drive seat has one crack in a seam, the check engine light isn't on, it's the brake light.

Body damage:
1) new dent on front left fender - I might flat-fender it to make it look better.
2) small dent on the right fender from bouncing into a tree. This doesn't look too bad
3) bent near antenna and door hinges from the first two pictures in this thread
4) small dent on the top of passenger side rear quarter panel (not too bad)
5) small dents on bottom of rear quarter panels on both sides (not bad at all)

I had hell getting the doors to fit back on and close... Then I smelt gas and saw gas dripping from behind me after bring it back from the side of the road. Then I was painting the axle and noticed the spring perch was falling off.

Both fuel lines were dry rotted - had to drop the tank to fix those - that sucks.

Had to get out the jack and some pipe to straighten out the body so the doors would go on.

Had to re-weld one spring perch because I noticed that one side had completly colapsed - the other side of the perch's weld never penetrated... After I unbolted the U-bolts the perch fell off  I didn't feel right without fixing that before I sold it.

I am glad that I sold it to someone that I don't know - that thing was destined to have a bunch of problems real soon. I am just a little scared that the guy I sold it too has a girlfriend that lives in my neighborhood and I might have to help him broke down on the side of the road

Lynda's sad - I am happy, one less truck to maintain for a while :gigem:

kind of capable for a farm jeep huh? Why not an old cheap jeep and weld the rear and throw some cheapy tires on. Unless you have like a rock farm which would be fun :gigem:

Lynda

Hey don't worry about me...I'll be in the garage just as soon as its time to paint the roll cage PINK!

Giving George away felt like giving away the family pet to someone with a bigger yard. "I promise George, you'll be much happier on this deer lease. Lots of animals to scare away, and plenty of stuff to play on..." sniff sniff :(

And about this weekend..I'm not sure if I'm ready to put on a bikini this season. There is this thing that happens to you when you get married...Nikki and I like to call it a "Marriage Pooch"

And when she shines she really shows you all she can

We have rough places, and a creek trucks don't like to go through. Today I ran through hog rootings that were bad enough I had to back up and try again a few times, I was in my jeep and in 2wd. They're deep enough that our 4wheeler high centers on them and won't go even in 4wd. My brother's yj on 33s would get stuck in them, have to have at least one locker, the limited slip wouldn't do it.

redcagepatrol

death wobble? bad ball joints? bad rod ends? bad unit bearings? You name it, it was work out and needed to be replaced... When I was washing it to sell, I noticed that one of the spring pads that I "welded" on was no longer welded and had just been held on by the U-bolts... I felt obligated to fix that before we sold it :D

We sold it for $4,000...I think I want it back now. My new Jeep is to pretty to wheel and the scratches are stressing me out
