2 CJs $3000

Saw them on Craigslist and went and looked at them today. The CJ7 is an 82 with a 4.2 It is pretty rusty and in poor shape. It has the wrong transmission and has been cludged togther pretty poorly.. THe valv covver actually hits the firewall. He wants $1000 for it.

The CJ5 is a 78 and has a nice running 304 and is drivable. It has some rust on the rockers but everything else seems solid. It has alot of **** in it. He wants $2000 for it.

Probably $2700 for both. But neither have titles. Let me know if you are interested and I can give you directions (there in a barn in North Zulch) or the phone number

The 7 seems like a good project starter. Don't let CB get a hold of those. They'll turn them into mad money. Does the 7 run?

I drove the 5. He said the 7 would run if he put a battery in it. But I can not explain the level of cludgery that this thing contains. Can you see the "crossmember" thing hanging down? That is for the mystery transmission. It is about 8-10" off the ground. SInce it is so low, the motor is tilted backwards and as it sits, the valve cover touchs the firewall. I do not like the shorter wheel base of the 5 and there is no way anyone over 6' could drive one, but it is in mucho better shape.
