I was informed recently by a member on another board I frequent, that Texas tech has started an off-road club, and they are going to hold and event at katemcy. As of right now it will be Feb-16th-18th. As of the current time it is booked as an open weekend on there(Kruse's) calendar, but is most likely going to get closed into a private event. Supossedly the folks from Longhorn off-road will be attending, and there will also be a band saturday night.

I know this is a long way off, but i figured it would be good to give some of you all a heads up, and i can update it when i get more information on it.
Besides we all know what fun a little college rivalry is, when combined with wheelin.

I'm fairly confident that my Jeep will make it.

To do list, I need to install new radiator, hookup electric fan, finish setting the rear perches, hookup rear brakelines, hookup rear driveshaft maybe lengthen it, and install the fuel cell... I'm pretty sure I could do all this in one weekend as long as I stay on it.

If the jeep doesn't make it for some odd reason and I still end up going, I could tow someone with my truck/trailer for a small price. Help pay for diesel and a case of redbull...

definite maybe ride-alongs with me are:

Jason Kelly
Fred
Flem
Barrett (some of you met him in Clayton)

I talked to Matt Conlee and he sounded like a definite maybe as well. Also Rodney bought a solid axle yota, so this could be awesome. Would like to see Cody, Scott and the rest, but I understand if you guys have **** to do. I have contacted the Jabnasty as well, I will keep you updated...

Are you guys going up Friday afternoon, morning what? Wondering if I should have my posse take a half day so that I'm not rolling in there at midnight.

So Anyway, Week and a half before the event, sound off if you're in for sure or not.

Rumor has it they are allowing campfires right now so who has some truck bed space we can load with wood? I have a shatload of wood so we can setup a kinda TAMOR base camp and put the big banner up and have a decent fire goin both nights. If yall want to we can also round up some pallets and strap em under and around the trucks on our trailers to make sure we have enough wood to keep us toasty.

Jab got a new and improved D-max truck, with a jabnasty-fied welding bed. It's pimp. I drove his jeep off the end of the ramp and saved it. Fred flopped it as did lots of other people just for ****s and grins.

I had an awesome time. More than likely trashed the knuckle on the driver side, the ball joints for sure, 2 stubs, 2 u-joints, and one inner longside shaft. Smashed the fronts of both fenders. Thanks to Ryan, John Brown, Fred and the rest for helping me get into and out of Huey's Crack. (That sounds dirty) That might have turned out to be a bad idea, but it was fun.
