Hey guys, keep your eyes open for a cheap sammy. stock to slightly modified. Key word: CHEAP!!!

Lookn to build Jessica a starter rig, so please keep your eyes open...

i have one i need to part with. $400 i don't know much about it though. runs, smokes some and probably needs a good tune up.

Dammit I was wanting to pick up this thing after Lynda's jeep on my way to the party this weekend. Had even measured the trailer to make sure both would fit. Guess I'll just go back outside and work on whatever junk I allready have.

Here is the one in my garage now. It's my buddy from work's 87 and he just picked it up. It needs some de-ghettofication but will be nice. It is sprung over with a 3" body lift and 31" powered by 81ci of fury. I think we are taking the BL off. We found some FJ40 axles for it....what might they be worth?

edit, we are currently going through the front end with all new bearings and seals. I dislike birfields

get him to yank off the sh1ttybilt bumper and nerfs and giver some toob!

I think a lot of the value of that 40 axle would have to do with whether the front is disk brake or not. If you end up going that route and convert it to minitruck birfs let me know, I got the hook up on some treated ones ;)

I'll have to get some pictures to show the previous owner once you fix it up. He thought it wasn't worth anything at all, which is about what I paid for it. All the important stuff is in good shape. I liked that the underside is undercoated and they put a drain plug in the gas tank. You can get a "shifter fix kit" from any of the online sammy places for around $50. It'll fix the sloppy transmission shifter and t-case shifter. I allready did the "clicky starter fix". You may like to know that the reason the windshield is cracked is because somebody's head hit it after an airial assault, that also has something to do with why the shifter is sloppy.

is that "shifter fix" a seat and bushing? If it's like the yota ones the dealer probably sells it for $10.

which one are you talking about? This one definetly needs a "shifter fix"

the tube bumpers and steps are welded on and I woudl prefer to ditch them, but we're ona budget and its not going to Moab or anything. The 40 front axle is disk. It is a 78 FJ that is for sale, $400, but nothing is left but a rusted out body and frame and axles.

The one Jessica bought, if it's the one I traded to Cody. It was white when I got it, then I pressure washed all the caliche dust off, and it turned blue like that one.

up to 95.5 I think still qualifies, but yeah 85 was the last US solid axle
