What is the application for the cheap long shocks? Like an F350 or some crap? I think kopecki talks about it alot.

9012's were the longest, I run 5012's in the front, which are the 5000 version.
I think Ford's off-road package gets the 5012's, or used to.

The FX4 f-250 and f-350 get rancho shocks but they're cheap little ****s, or at least the back ones are. There never really was an offroad package before that besides a different sticker. Stock is 12" stroke on the rear, so just order some shocks for a 2000 f-350 with a 6" lift and you'll get the long shocks.

You can get factory F350 shocks for an older year range. I'll figure it out when I get home to my notebook with all that random knowledge in it.

Kopecki hit it - Factory 4x4 shocks for a 2000 and up F350 is what you're probably trying to find... They really suck, though. Hard to use with standard style shock mounts and they haven't lasted the two people I know that used them very long.

yet on cheap shocks from vatozone come with a warranty so they are no problem.

not cheap by any means, and currently backordered for a while. I'm gonna go with bilstiens instead. As for cheap long travel ones, there are the procomp ones that are around 25 bucks a piece

If you decide not to go the F350 route, 4wheelparts always has specials on their Pro Comp ES model shocks. Buy 3 get 1 free, depending on which model you get they're about 30-40 bucks. They're cheap and work great from my experience.

I've ran 3000's on my cj5. Stiff, and the shaft seperated from the body when flexed out. Since then I won't buy anything with the word "pro comp" on it. Its cheap crap.

almost all cheap arse dual tube welded body shocks(monroe gabrial rancho pro-comp fabtech) are made by tenneco. just go to the parts store and start opening boxes. I would bone up and get a set of bilstein 5100 series, you can order them from just about any partstore and there only about 85 bucks. these are a 2" monotube ipf shock much beter than the dual tube 3/4 inch piston tenneco bullshiat.

robbie, if you ever get a chance, upgrade those shocks to some bilstiens or other quality shock. Then come back and let us know if you think they still work great. I'm betting your view of them will be reatly changed

I have a pair of pro-comp MX-6's on the front of pigpen. 15" travel, work great. Not so cheap though. They are monotube.

See, I want cheap because I'm pretty much broke, and the blazer has only been used once in the past year.

then the procomps are great for you. I'm just saying that if you or anyone else ever gets a chance to change to better ones, do so, and i bet you will be really surprised just how much difference there can be in them. I know I really was when I ditched the procraps and went to the BBCS. Makes me wonder how much of the rough ride the old toyota had was due to the crappy shocks I was using
