Hey everyone,

I'm pretty new here, I think this might be my second post... anyways, my name's Kyle and I'm a sophomore here at A&M. I've been looking around for a trail truck/beater since my parents would sh!t a brick if I took my truck wheeling since I rolled my last one while wheeling. I came across this old 4runner that looks like it would be a pretty good start. I've always liked the old yotas and their reliability, and they have some pretty good aftermarket support from companies like marlin and allpro. Are there anythings I should look for if I go to check this truck out? How do you guys like the older 4runners? I'm looking to hopefully pay somewhere in the 700-800 dollar range, maybe up to 1000. Do y'all think that'd be reasonable for this truck? I appreciate everyone's feedback!

Oh, and a little off-topic... I never got my decals when I paid my dues... who do I need to talk to about getting one? I'm lookin' forward to reppin' TAMOR!

You'll find plenty of people here like those. I prefer those over the pickups. The description makes it sound pretty rednecked which usually isn't good, but the pictures look good. Its good that it has some gears and fuel injection allready, and you can have alot of fun with 33s and the welded rear. Of course you really have to go look at it to see if its crap or not.

Yeah it does sound like it's got a "whatever works" attitude to it, but I have a feeling over the course of time not much of the stock stuff will be left on there. I'll probably wheel it until I break the IFS and the solid-axle it, maybe with some full-width axles.

I wonder if the traffic cone or umbrella is included?

you have go on a trip to get a windshield sticker. Talk to the guys above for the little round stickers. As for the 4runner, if its cheap, it would be okay, but it seems kinda haphazard, and my bet is its been abused pretty good. Its up to you, but I like to start out with a non modified/abused rig unless the amount of extras I'm getting with it make up for the problems the vehicle has

Yeah I feel the same way. I'd rather do my own thing, but I have plans to pretty much swap out everything on that sucker anyways. If I can get it for really cheap it might be worth it because I can just swap out anything that breaks. It does look like he rags on it pretty bad. But hell, I plan on ragging on it pretty bad too!

That thing is nice! Is he still around? Depending on the price I may go after that one instead.

So can you tell me anything about it? Think it'd be worth my time or should I look elsewhere? And what exactly is the den? *** Or rather where is the den?

Where and when is the meeting? Post Oak Mall again?
EDIT: Nevermind, I found it. I'll do my best to make it out there.

Is the owner of this truck still going to be in town this weekend? For some reason the site is not letting me check his profile. Anyone know how I could get ahold of him?
