We have booth #1 and Grayson and his dad have booth #5 or something like that. Hopefully the weather will be better this year. Last year I got drunk and bought a jeep. This is always a good time, sometimes we even find deals!

have you ever been to one? This is probably Texas second largest swap meet...maybe the largest. the only other one that is probably close is the old Pate swap meet that is now at the speedway.

As far as straight off-road stuff, that's kind of a sometimes deal, but it's definitely there. As far as jack of all trades deals; tools, motorcycles, shop lights, crazy old junk, whatever it's there. We kind of walk along and try to identify ****, interact with the rednecks, drink a few beers, buy a jeep or v-6 camaro wiring harness for no reason, whatever. We have a booth and throw a few things out there just so we have a base of operations. I like to think of it as Clayton, but people have their junk out there. They were way better before ebay came along. I look for rednecks that have never seen a computer that don't know what they have. There are some deals to be had from those guys.

We might need to pile into the redneck limo and actualyl go this year...

The Hershey,PA swap meet is on "My Classic Car" on Speed right now, we might have to make a pilgrimage to that one one year.

I was supposed to move to Hershey, PA, then my boss told me how it was right by Harrisburg, PA which was a really nice place. My soph/Junior year roommate was from Harrisburg, he told me how much it sucked and never wanted to go home for holidays, he even currently lives in Houston.

He chose Houston over Hershey, that's saying something ( :flipoff2: to dallas fags)

Bump-Need a reminder of what's pulling me through this work week.

Jabnasty said he would be there, supposed to have 8 spaces between him and his dad. Lots of off-road ****. Should be an AWESOME time. Grayson and his dad, Fred me and Father Brune, Flem, Coop, maybe Busa? Come one come all, I doubt I purchase a jeep again this year, but you never know. Hopefully the weather will be better.

went out there for a few hours today, the wind and dust storms were unbelievable.

When walking around with St. John and Jimmy we saw a maroon scout for sale that looked somewhat familiar. It had a red lot parking sticker for 1999-2000. Turns out it used to belong to Michael Ebanks.

Graystroke
02-24-2007, 11:14 PM
It was nasty! I didn't buy much...I bought a 41" tank end for $40 and a steel rim for $5 to set it on....Jimmy's Dad bought the other one.
I left in the black +$80 in my pocket :gigem:

Dissapointing at best, the dust/wind killed it. Would liked to have bought that Scout.
