I saw one of those at Pick N Pull a few years ago. That doesn't help you at all.

I think there was one at Awesome about three years ago, but again, that probably doesn't help.

I think eric knew where one was. If not, I know a guy who did live in houston who had one (that was a year or so ago), but the fawker still owes me a hundred bucks, so you may need to assault him for me if you buy it

grayson mine sees too much highway for 4.1s. I like to go 75-80 and I like rpms under 3k. Not possible with stock NAS transfercase.

whats the difference between v6 toy 8" and 4 cyl toy 8"? I always see v6 3rd members as the ones to get, but can't tell any difference.

good thread on this stuff http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=170933

As for the 3.55s, they may be available new, but I've never seen one stock, at least in the normal range of trucks and 4runners we cut up for parts. I ran it through car-part.com, and the only application they list with that gearset is a 2wd truck, non dually, which means the diff is not a V6 carrier, and has the small ring gear and low spline count. I'm not saying these absolutely did not exist in the version you want, I'm just saying it may be very difficult to find

it reality, next to nothing. Some extra ribbing, maybe a little larger set of bearings, but other than that, not much. Its just used as a gimmick to charge more

so would those gears I posted fit in a v6 3rd member with all the extra ribbing and stuff?

maybe, maybe not. I've heard of people running (or for the most part speculating about doing it) the different kinds of gears in different diffs using a small spacer or something, but I doubt it will work in your application. Would 3.90 still be to low? Those are much easier to find in the V6 applications

just find a set of 1.0:1 set of gears for your T-case. try ashcroft or some of the other vendors from Ausie land
