I will be haulin up there with the pete and will take the travel trailer if anybody wants to use it as a base of operations. Yes, you are correct. Jimmy, you may officially pass the title of ****ing ******* on to John.

right now i am negotiating with the woman about this trip... she has things that weekend as of right now... and i have to have like everyother weekend off that month for wedding stuff but i am gonna push for it hard... if we do attend we will hitch a ride with anyone who has an extra seat on the trail... i will most likely walk 90% of the trail. unless someone wants me to tear up their rig for them

DRAGOONRANCH
03-09-2007, 09:43 AM
nope, sure don't. Guess we should have increased the PM limit. :flipoff2: I would not think that it is any longer than that yota, though I haven't found the dimensions on it yet either. The cheby is 18' bumper to bumper and can have 4 or 5 foot hanging off the rear, leaving upto 18 foot for Nasty. (What is the legal limit before you have to put the flag on it, and what is the limit past that?)

I have a 16' dual axle flat bed trailer that I will not be using that weekend. It can hold around 4,000 lbs or so but needs to be rewired. I someone wants to help me rewire it, they can use it to tow up and back. Ill be towing my 30' enclosed trailer with my sammy in it and I am also going to take my welder, torch generator, 30 gal air tank with impact etc, grinders, etc. so hopefully anything that needs to be fixed can be. anyone who needs a ride up and back just email. and also if kegs are allowed, ya Ill have one of those on board.

We went over the keg thing for college weekend. They are not specifically prohibited but the owners of the park seemed to frown on them due to the liability of minors drinking. Again, this is not saying you cant fill it up and bring it but by the time it gets there its gonna be one foamy mofo and it would probably be a PITA keep unauthorized users away from it.

I might be leaving Friday morning from CS, depending on what needs to get done at Krocks on Friday. The gf wasn't real receptive to camping 3 nights in a row when I talked to her tonight, even though we'll have the popup and I have class until 4:30, so I probably wouldn't get out of CS until 5:30 and still would have to stop in Austin to pick up the gf and the trailer.

I will be leaving friday from work some time about 5. Jeep hauling trailer had its first trip today and now resides in my garage with jeep in the driveway. It doesn't like to be pulled at over 70mph, starts to sway. Its got new trailer tires, maybe its just too short. I'm gonna look into a stabilizer bar setup for it.

04-24-2007, 11:35 PM
I'll be going 290 to Elgin and taking a north on 95 through Taylor to Circleville then west on 29 through Georgetown, Burnet, Llano, and Mason. But I work at 290 and 8 so I'm allready up there. It would take me at least a half hour to get to 10.

Coming from way up north (I think CJ lives above 290) I don't think it would be worth it to drive down to 10 just so you can take 71 through austin. Sure it's nice roads, but my way would be no traffic, just a little in georgetown maybe. At 5 I'll have some traffic getting onto 290 and then going out of town for a few miles and it'll clear up.

From college station, you take either 21 to caldwel up to milano, or 6 to hearn to milano. Then take 79 to taylor where you will take the business route, then go north on 95 to circleville, and west on 29 through georgetown (big HEB to buy supplies at), burnet, llano, to mason. Then north on whatever that highway's number is that goes to camp air, right at camp air, and right at the big curve.

I just loaded up half drunk after the CCA banquet, maybe I got everything.

I figure I'll be one of the last in, so if you're broke down past taylor give me a call. 979,571,1460.
