i just bought a 465 and 205 for my new jeep project. a cj7 that i will stretch to 101 ish. it is from that 82 diesel truck. the question is would a tbi 4.3 bolt up to it with the diesel bell housing. i don't know chevy well at all. i may even put in a 350 but i'm not sure yet. just starting to look for a cheap motor. also in the future i'm going to do a doubler. i assume that i can but want to make sure that the figure 8 pattern or whatever it is will work.

Yes the 4.3 will bolt up, thats the exact combo Jordan has in his jeep. All chevy bellhousings are the same.

Not all chevy bellhousings are the same, but the smallblock, ls1, and 4.3 can all use the same bellhousing.

Ok to clarify, SBC's, BBC's, 4.3 V6's (but not 2.8's) and 6.2 and 6.5 diesels have the same bellhousing. I dont know about LS motors or later model (2000+ stuff though).

That is the wrong question to ask sharpe about his diesel collection. Might want to ask him if he has any running diesels he wants to part w/. ;)

plus diesels stink. I'd get sick of smelling that all day. I still have nightmares of the smoke screen sharpe put up in gilmer :flipoff2:
