It my be a bit early, but I want to judge interest in a trip to the Missouri football game this year. I sent out an evite, so send me your email if you are interested and I will add you to the list. We have a free place to stay and a Margarita machine, I'm not sure what else we need! Come one come all, it's gonna be wicked pissah.

As a season ticketholder, I will have to wait till later to find out.

I may drive up with yall and fly back or something other wise, driving from mizzou to dallas, and dallas to htown on sun is going to suck.

jerryg79
04-23-2007, 02:19 PM
Right now you can fly from mizzou to htown on southwest for about $150, but you cant make reservations this far in advance, so the prices may fluctuate by that point.

What is Pikey Krebs's email? (A pikey is like a Carnie, you know a Gypo?) I'd like to add him to the evite. Also a bump so you guys don't forget to book your flights/make plans.

Can you picture it? My brother and his wife in the front seats, than Blair and I in the back with his kid squished in between.

BMFScout

About 3 months away. Tickets are on sale already, if we buy more than 25 (likely) they are only $40 apiece, otherwise they are $50.

Sharpe
08-09-2007, 08:46 PM
Hmmm 50 is a bit more than 30, but I still think I'm in. Lemme know before you buy yours.

This really sucks. I'll be at a reception here that weekend. Man, I was really looking forward to it to. That's going to be a bad ass trip. Pisser!

BMFScout
08-28-2007, 11:16 AM
I'm going to make the cutoff for getting me cash for tickets September 10th. Message/email me for information if you want in. All are still welcome to secure one's own tickets closer to game time and stay with us if they prefer. I'm just trying to get 25 people together so we can get them for $40 instead of $50. It's going to be a wicked pissah weekend!

my house has a tv with cable and fridge that keeps beer cold. And the drivetime from couch to fridge is way less than 8 hrs.

It would be more like 12-13 or so from H-town, it's a little under 10 from Dallas. SWA flys there, Nancy. I also didn't see Margartia Machine or the pride of wearing your teams colors after you've stomped a teams dick into the dirt on their turf! I don't plan on telling my grandkids about the time I sat on my couch and watched TAMU football. Is that enough berating? I could probably come up with some more! :)

Good argument, unfortunately the fact that all of this takes place in MISSOURI, second only to NJ in uselessness, completely voids any argument.

Don't believe me?

Here I'll read from the Fromer's guide to Missouri, which consequently is only one page.

"Do not go to this state. I got married at the age of 40. I was married as a virgin. The night of our wedding, my penis was severed from my body in a car accident. i will now die a virgin. I thought that my life was sh!tty. Then I got transferred to Missouri."

We also have to go to zenner's wedding in arkansas a couple of weeks before that. That's more then close enough to missouri for me. :flipoff2:

Arkansas not really that bad of a state, it just gets a bad rap for being so close to Missouri. You know, the whole "gay by association" deal.

At most $50 for a ticket, costs associated with getting there, gas/plane ticket, and food/drinks. We've got a place to stay fo free. PM me your email and I'll add you to the evite if you like. We've got a group of 12 or so that's just family, wanted to get a big road trip going though.

I always think that end zone seats can be better. you are closer to (maybe more or maybe less) half the action instead of as far away from each end zone as possible for the td's like the 50 yd line.

my cup is half full today.

Also as I like to remind my dad, Faurot Field is a lot more "intimate" than some place like....oh, I don't know...say Kyle Field.

There are lots of orange juices out there, plus calcium, little pulp, lots of pulp, etc. Have you ever hear of "Just Pulp" It'd be a container of nothing but pulp, big wide mouth jar, have a bowl of pulp in the morning. OJ Simpson of course would be the spokesman. You know it'd keep you regular, nothing but fiber! It's the brainchild of my friend "The Pete" He met Seth the other night, and them both being legends it their own right, the night was of course...legendary. My "We own this town" line almost got me into trouble. I told a passerby girl that "We owned this town." When her boyfriend came back to ask me "wtf did you say to my girlfriend?" I told him that "I just told her I owned the town." He asked me a couple more times in loud disbelief, then when it sunk in, he told me that I didn't in fact own the town. I told him he could own the town if he really wanted it, I didn't care. I don't think he thought it was that funny. I wish I would have told him it was cool, I know Davido, but I was too slow. I'm glad the girlfriend motioned the bouncer over, the dude was like 7 feet tall and had friends.

Almost forgot, the bouncer said later if he would have hit me, he was taking him down, and if I would have hit him, he was taking him down. He said you always go after the biggest guy. :gigem:

I'll talk to you fools that said you wanted in this weekend about possibly getting more tix.

In other news, we don't have to drive the whole distance Thursday night. The Pete's parents (Pulp man) own a bed and breakfast 2 hours short of our destination. The new plan is to drive that far thursday night, crash there. (free) Then drive in the rest of the way Friday morning. That makes it only about 7-8 hours from Dallas as opposed to 10.

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/sioncampus/02/09/big_shot0210/

When they win a big game they tear down the goalpost, carry it down to this bar, then hack it up and hand out pieces of it. I say we hit it up Friday night.

If dad has anything to do with it, we will eat either here:

http://gdpizzasteak.com/menu/

or here:

Arris Pizza is right across from the Capitol, maybe do lunch there Friday and check the capitol out a little bit?

Everyone likes Ice Cream:

Missouri's version of Braum's but it's been around longer and it's way better. They have this cool little ice cream shop in downtown Jeff.

Thursday from my parent's place more than likely. (701 Horizon Dr, Murphy, 75094) I want to be on the road at 7:00 pm Thursday from Murphy, but am flexible. We'll be in my parents 'burban and my buddies Ferd unless you guys have a better idea. The suburban does in fact get 12-13 mpg.

The Pete has a Dodge he might be driving separately or at least to Dallas, I'll check with him this weekend.

'burban way up:
Me
Tommy
Sharpe
Seth
The Pete

Ferd way up:
Luke
Bud

'Burban way back: (Bud and I are staying until Tuesday night)
Luke
The Pete
Seth
Sharpe
Tommy
My dad maybe (Dad's got a project that may keep him from going at all! stupid work)

If you guys have any other suggestions I'm all ears.

My mom is going but I'm going to convince her to fly up there, or stay until Tuesday and ride with us in the ferd.

1st leg Thursday Night
Murphy to Rogersville, MO (about seven hours)

2nd leg Friday Morning
Rogersville to Columbia (little under three hours)

The original Bass Pro is in Springfield which is really close to Rogersville if you guys want to hit that up Friday morning. They have an outlet center that usually has some good deals. This museum is right next door but I've never been inside. If nothing else the giant buck out front is a cool photo spot:

The band used to go to only 1 away game that required flying. We bussed to every where in TX and OK. So that usually meant we missed one away game.

I don't know how they do it currently...

Yeah, the band was at the Iowa State game I went to my sophomore year. It was ISU's home coming. Our band played first and got a standing ovation from the ISU fans, then when the ISU band came on the field to perform their sub-par home coming show, people got up and started leaving. Their student body likes to get completely **** canned before each game and some really really drunk guy jumped in front of me, pushed me, and yelled "**** TEXAS TECH!!!".

Excerpt from the email from my Mizzou brother this morning:

Been working with Benny on a new deerstand...or should I say deer condo.....I swear, I don't know how leeann did it, but she married someone grandpa zumalt would be proud of...you could hold a legion convention in this thing...it would even hold that huge ass running back A&M has...what's his name? javorsky lane? Isn't that a russian helicopter?...is he what happens when an african american and a russian/polack reproduce? :gigem:

In carpooling news, we have three vehicles going now. The Pete has an extended cab Dodge he has volunteered to drive you guys out of College Station in, and he is coming back on Sunday. He's driving the whole way, and we're still taking the 'burban and ferd. Anyone have walkie talkies? A lot easier than cell phones when dealing with three vehicles.

It's go week b!tches! If you are afraid of sticking out considering the current state of affairs, It's a "black out" game for them. Wear a black A&M Shirt!

I didn't get a chance to sight my rifle in this week, so I will probably do that real quick sometime Friday, feel free to bring guns if you guys want to shoot. (1 or 2 sharpe, we aren't looking to re-enact vietnam.) If you want to throw a fishing rod in the truck as well, I'm taking mine. My brother in law's pond has bass in it, caught a bunch last year about this time. If Pete hasn't gotten in touch with you guys let me know and I'll get you his cell phone #. Get your **** together, I want to be out of town as quick as possible after work on Thursday.

Dad might be in on the trip up with us now, work has settled down some. My older brother is taking Friday off from work so he can be our tour guide.

Ran into our friend and my cousin Ty tonight. The one that took the ZOU crew/beatles wannabes to the river after the bottomless cup episode at the Hitchin' Post. I told him that I saw him walking into graduation and that we should follow him. Then I followed with "I'd follow him anywhere, because the last time I followed him we ended up on the banks of the Missouri River at 3 am having a hell of a time." He followed with that he quit drinking and had been sober for two weeks. Those that were there can attest that him being sober for two weeks is a hell of a feat. I respect his decision because those in attendance can attest that he might have had a problem...
