Looks like about 45 minutes or so closer to Mesquite. (where I work) About the same from College Station as Alto looks like. If I did bring a truck it wasn't going to be mine!

Sweet offer Chris but the night life at the games is really what sets it apart from any other event. I intend to be too hammered to find my way back to my tent this year so leaving to go crash at your place...not a good option. Not to mention when we got there on friday night last year the line at the entrance was over 2 hours long, and it lasted well into saturday afternoon.

BOOOOO....see below

I'm assuming trucks/jeeps/etc are still allowed at this year's redneck games? Since it was being held at the Pool ATV park I wasn't sure. I won't miss it, but my friends and I wanted to know if we could bring our trucks or not.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Their response:

Trucks / jeeps will NOT be allowed to hit the trails at POOL RANCH but there will be alot of cruising that can be done throughout the campground. Sorry , but that is a POOL RANCH rule,thanks--OSCAR

Is everyone still gonna go?

There is talk of some Crosby style sleeping equipment that will make the other clientele blush :gigem:

I think me, mike, doug, and karl are gonna go. All with dirt bikes/4 wheelers.

I have a reciever hitch on my 4-wheelers ;)

I am still unsure if I am going to be able to make this one (there is a good possibility though). I won't know till a few weeks before hand since I wont know till then when we will be shippin chickens out of here.

I wonder if I could clean out the Roundup good enough from one of my atv mounted spray rigs and keep enough ice in it or insulate it well enough to make it dispense my world famous trashcan punch?!?! I bet I could just pull the pump and cut a small hole for the suction tube in the lid. HMMM, the ideas just keep coming....

For those that are still interested in this event, the Girls Gone Wild people are apperently gonna be there. Now whether this will improve the quality (and quantity) of women there is certainly debatable, it will make for some interesting peoplewatching one way or the other. I'm still on the fence...

That place kind of sucks compared to Alto for an event like this. Its mainly four wheeler trails, a big lake back in the woods, and a couple of a small fields to camp in. There probably isnt even a third of the area that there is at Alto to camp so if yall are gonna go, I would get there early. They hosted the Redneck Games Mudigra there back in February and the place was at capacity with a a line of trucks several miles long waiting to get in gate.

DRAGOONRANCH

I seems that interest in this has kind of dropped once everybody found out about the "no trucks on trails" part, but I finally got everything scheduled right and will be able to make this (barring a catastrophe). I may bring the travel trailer but need to figure out how to haul the 4 wheelers w/ it. Camping is cool, but a/c takes the cake. :D Let me know who all is going and if there is enough people I will start a travel thread for it.

Do you live in the house with all the diesels on pronghorn?

AggieMudder

I use to live there a couple of years ago. I think all those guys with the diesels moved in the year after I moved out, I just forgot to change my profile address.

how crowded was it?

DRAGOONRANCH
08-06-2007, 08:04 PM
There were tonns of people and the main road could get in a snafu and you would sit for an hour at a time, but it did give you a chance to meet folks and get to know the girls that were in the hunt for beads. This brings me to another idea, we need to get together and see if we can get a bulk buy on mardi gras beads for these type of events. Now that we know the layout of the different camping spots, there was tonns of room for camping. It's just that there are 4 or 5 large pastures for camping in different areas. Some would be hard to get to w/ 2wds or motor homes is all. Everybody really missed a good time, I apologize for not getting more pictures. We had to make a decision of drink beer and ride or take pictures and ride and yall lost out. :flipoff2:

Oh yeah, no matter what, the beast is going next year. -pimp-

Me and Creighton never went to an AA meeting, so we are just drunks. Unless you count those Whiskey Tango mechanics that did the axles and t-case.

DRAGOONRANCH
08-09-2007, 08:48 PM
I am pretty sure that they didn't disclose the "real" numbers for liablity reasons. I am sure there were plenty more than that over the course of the weekend. To get to this place, you have to travel down about twice as much unimproved roads as you do to get to alto. There are plenty of people living down those roads, and most look to be upscale houses, not the trailer trash going into shiloh.
