are Dodge and Chevy D60 calipers the same? I found this in the D60 bible on pirate

"6) Chevy rotors are 1.5" thick, early dodge rotors are 1.25" thick, but the calipers are identical. Dodge D60s from the CTD years (90-ish to 93) have 1.5" rotors."

So if that is true, do they make up the difference in rotor thickness with pad thickness? The reason I ask is when I swapped my chevy DRW hubs on this weekend I decided to use the chevy rotors because they were in better shape than my old dodge rotors (plus I'm lazy and it meant less work). But now the dodge calipers and pads don't fit (won't open wide enough to fit over the rotor). I could tear the axle back apart and swap the old rotors back in, but if I could make the current setup work by simply swapping in new pads, I would prefer to do that.
