I don't see how calling me and asking for jaime is going to help him either, but whatever.

I got a wrong # call from this canadian the other night and I thought he said he was trying to call a stripper. When I asked him about it he said, "Naw man, we cooking briskets for church tomorrow monin'. We love JEEsus." I apologized and told him that I too, loved JEEsus. He invited me to church, but I'm not sure where it was, and I was planning on sleeping in anyway. I love wrong #'s, I try to keep them on the line as long as possible.

I got a wrong email the other day, I almost think it was some sort of scam but I ran with it anyway.

here's how it went....

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Fleming,

Thank you for the opportunity to visit Evan's first grade classroom on
Monday morning. It was a pleasure to meet all of the teachers that
will work with Evan this school year. Richard and I couldn't be
happier with our children's placement.

As an occupational therapist, I have worked for years in a wide
variety of school settings. Occupational therapy provides direct
services to improve a child's skills, but provides consultative
services to teachers, as well. One area that very often is overlooked
is the positioning of children at their desks.

As you know, part of a first grader's work involves writing at their
desks. Kinesthetically, writing requires refined finger movements
combined with stabilization of the wrist and elbow joints. When
writing, the shoulder moves in a steady motion away from the body.
When children are seated at a desk that is too high, the child
compensates and uses inefficient arm movements that are tiring to the
wrist and shoulder. Also, their stabilizing arm can grow tired. This
can negatively impact the quality of their written work and their
endurance in sustaining a writing task. The ideal vertical surface of
a desk is about two inches above the elbow when a student is seated
with arms at his or her sides.

When in Evan's classroom, I noticed that some students would benefit
from an ergonomic adjustment to their present positioning at their
desks. The students who are smallest would benefit most. This
includes Sarah, Joy, Alexandrina, Brinn, and Anjulena. I would like
to volunteer to assess children's positioning in the first grade
classrooms and adjust the desks to fit students better; I did notice
that desks are adjustable, and I have plenty of experience doing this
to help out teachers. This would involve a ten minute period in which
I look at each student and record how much to drop the desk. Then, I
could actually adjust desks after school. This would minimize
disturbing students and teachers. I typically re-adjust desks in
February again, as students grow.

Please let me know what you think. I simply have consulted so much in
classrooms that I tend to notice things that teachers may not
typically address.

Thank you,

Lisa Marnell

Since no one has said it yet on this thread: No on in Tamor participates or is in favor of off roading in areas where permission has not previously been granted. We do not promote, endorse, or suggest the use of vehicles in any manor that implies anything immoral, illegal, wrong, metrosexual, or necrophyliac. In conclusion tread lightly and BURN RUBBER
