So I'll keep a list going at the top of who has rooms and who is driving/has open seats:

Hayley & I have a king room at the annex. We are still deciding what to do on transportation, but ideally Hayley would hitch a ride & trailer spot with someone and I would meet everyone there on Friday mid-day (I'm coming from OKC). This isn't sounding likely with Ed being gone. :( :usa:

Yeah, great - thanks :flipoff2: I was trying to avoid driving both my vehicles to OK. If I don't find a trailer spot, I'll probably just tow the buggy all the way to OKC earlier in the week and hope hayley can hitch a ride with someone.

Actually, I don't really care if my trailer goes, so if someone is going that can tow a light rig but isn't, that would help out too. Of course I will pitch in for gas either way.

Scotti - I'll tow your buggy. I'll get like 8 MPG. I get 15-17 normally on the highway, maybe the old 3-5-1 and 4-11-posi will suprise me. What's your rig+trailer weigh? But I don't see why not. Maybe instead of getting my rig ready for the trails, I will work on getting it ready to tow. Maybe even 4x4!

Also, I'll take a floor spot also if anyone has one. And a trail seat, pref in an IH or something equally badass.

Ok, I got 2 other "maybe" offers to tow as well, so whoever is first to let me know for sure wins the pleasure of riding with my wife and towing the buggy for 6 hours. :D

p.s. I think it weighs 3500-4000 combined. I still need to take the damn thing & weigh it.

I just went and looked - my truck is rated 12k GCWR. Empty it is just under 5k. So figure 6k with fuel, passengers, and cargo. I would say I am able, I would just want to do a rear brake job before then. Trans and rear end are new, I think it would be gravy. It's your rig thuogh, so whatever you want.

At the moment, it looks like it will be me, Kopecki and brother Kurt in Kopecki's truck pulling the scrambler. Probably 1 seat available for the ride. Leaving Thursday?

I have a room in the main building with John Cox, maybe floor space...I don't know. Not sure where Kopecki/brother are staying.

My rig is available for a tow, but I'd rather ride with multiple people so that fuel can be split more ways. So if I do end up towing I'd like to fill the truck (3-4 people).

I mean my truck doesnt have any new fangled rearstear, but it sure does have a beer window i plan on employing once we get on that really dark road in methland (its tradition :gigem:)

A tradition started the first time i went to clayton with you in the burban and you brought those sleep police dudes. I had a cooler with beer in the front seat. I asked onthe way up if anyone would want beer for the ride, both your friends said no, you said yeah throw in a couple for me. So i figured a 8 pack would cut it. I think those dudes had 3 a piece. *******s!

Kopeki has room for 1 person in his truck yet (2 if his brother ends up not going). We could fit both of yall if we switch to my truck, but then we'd have to either swap his anti-trailer sway stuff from his truck to mine, or get a different trailer. It would be cool if we could combine rides....then fuel could be split 5 ways. :)

it is actually faster to go through College Station then to go to 45 and fight all the traffic up 45.

I agree. 45 sucks hard with the traffic until north of conroe.

no it sucks hard with traffic south of conroe north of the woodlands, there is little to no traffic north of 105. However if you're smart and get off at 1485?exit early and stay on the feeder you can avoid it all.

Also, I'm going to see if I can hit up my old manager for some cheap liquore at the Cork when I'm in town next week. Anyone want me to grab something if I can? Specs might be just as cheap though, I haven't checked liquor prices since they moved to town.

Are all the trucks loaded up every night a brought back to the hotel?
I say this beause as of right now all I have is a trailer that I could make work but I would have to swap tires, which sucks.

Also it looks like I will be going so any one that needs a ride is welcome. I will have 1, 2 if we get cosy, trail seats and 3-4 seats for the ride up there.

yeah you dont want to leave a vehicle out there, you may be able to swap a trailer with someone that can drive their vehicle out there was in clayton.

i'm out jeep is not ready, neither is the blazer, brian is out and i am scheluled to work all weekend. if anyone wants the room call and cancel mine and put your name there, if they need me to do it you can give them the credit card info for youself so that they can hold the room and then you call me and i will call them to cancel mine and put it into your name. sound confusing enough. man this is the 3rd year ina row ive missed out. well i told them that if i have to work this weekend then i have to go to tcc or i will quit. i would say the same for this trip but i haven't worked ther long enough to have clout yet

No one has called to see if they'll let us have fires yet. If they will, we can get as many free pallets from the co-op as we need and just stack em under the rigs on trailers. **piss moan ******* yah they burn fast but for the first night before we have a chance to collect anything on the trail I think they'll do fine. That is IF anyone else gets some too, I'm not gonna be the only person busting ass to load up 2 dozen pallets onto my trailer and then listen to everyone ***** about running out of wood at midnight.

Pallets are easier to transport. They stack and throwing a strap or two over them wont be a problem. The bed of my truck will be full of people's stuff so there deffinately wont be room for firewood.

If it drives just drive it, because some people, like me, really need a trailer to get there untitled, unregistered pos up there without taking tires off and jamming it into a landscaping trailer. Or find a tow use one of my landscaping trailers if your jeep is less than 72 inches wide.

that will work....i talked to coop and his brother decided not to go due to lack of funds/ saving money....anyways ill have my trailer and jeep ready to go thursday so we can head out asap....coop also has a room at sardis from friday-sunday....i wanted to see if anyone had any extra room to crash with them....if not i can keep coop's room for those days...just didnt think it was necessary for just myself...unless some other people are looking for a room, we can split the cost on coop's room...just let me know so he can cancel it or keep the room...thanks

I dont think I can get the truck were I want it, Finals are kicking my ass. I would be open to towing anybody that needs it, trailer is 76 inches wide.

If no one needs a tow I will probably load the pos up and bring it. I just dont see it being very trail friendly.

Yeah, I don't know where we will be heading. We will start out in the morning, might come back into town for lunch, might eat on the trail. If I have phone service you can call me, but I doubt it will work other than right in town. I'll have my CB on 12, but my range isn't that amazing with a magnet mount antenna. More than likely one of us will break down, and when we do, we'll just set fire to that vehicle. Just look for the smoke that doesn't smell like meth. :gigem:
