So I got it this summer in Corpus Christi...body was in pretty bad shape but the price was right.

I started taking the thing apart and the rust was worse than I thought. The entire backhalf is fiberglass which makes that part easier...but it still needs a rebuild too. Engine is a champ.

I took the body off the frame and the frame is good. Got the body apart recently.

Working on making some new mounts for the front and rear leaf springs. Front will be the old rears, and the rear springs are from an F250 without a couple of the leafs...thank you Will. more pics later. here is an old brochure for the trekker. Sorry to all you dialup users...

Very cool. I had never heard of the Trekker. I guess that was Toyota's experiment before the 4 runner?

travis was or is still working at a hot rod shop somewhere in the c.s area so, im sure he has aquired many new skills that he is wanting to try out. i would imagine that was the reason for the body off work. Also travis is that clarkes old house off of Berkley? That center pillar on the garage looks as if it has had a run in with a dana 60 pulled by a bronco. Clarke will know what i mean

Awesome travis! Are the front and rear caulked together or is there something more? That windshield's gonna be a biatch. Maybe it'd be easier to find a less rusty pre-84 cab?

the front and rear were caulked together, also had somewhere around 100 screws holding the front and rear together. the windshield will be fun...its gonna be a wheeler, the reason I'm taking it all apart was the rust was very very bad and it wouldn't have lasted very long. Its also a rare truck and I would like to see it look decent.

I believe the whole back half (roof/bed) is fiberglass and the front half is a standard toy p/u

the house is on magnolia dr. the top is removable but I don't think they intended it to be. There are screws and bolts and plates everywhere holding the top on. I'm still trying to remove all the caulking and adhesive so I can get down to business. If anyone knows of any 4.88s for sale or 5.29s for real cheap let me know. the 3.90s aren't gonna cut it.
