On the way back from Bonneville, my dad and I stopped off in Moab for a little wheeling. We rented an '07 Jeep Rubicon. I must say, it impressed me. It was able to do much more than I expected it to do. The front and rear selectable lockers are fun and convenient and disconnecting the front swaybar with the flip of a switch is a novel idea, even though I could not notice a difference. I highly recommend going to Moab if you havent been. Here are some pics and videos from our trip.

These are all from Porcupine Rim. It's scenic, but remember folks, the map doesnt tell you that about 12 miles into it, it narrows to a bike trail. We did it backwards Baja style trying to make it back before dark.

I just realized how few pictures I took in Moab. I've got some videos I'll get up later.

I missed this thread before. That's really cool. Brings back some memories. That Jeep looks a lot like the one Kollins rented.

I've never met a thing with wheels that I couldn't wreck. :)

Yep. Andy. Some guy. Some other guy. Me. Mark. There were parts of that trail that were REALLY hairy. The single track was within 12 inches of a drop off that was far enough in excess not to matter.

IIRC, somehow I was involved in locking the keys in the wrong vehicle.

Was that the trip where RJ speared the radiator of Kevin's Volvo with a ski pole?

I think I remember that story where they got stuck in the mountains in snow...had to hike to the top of a nearby mountain to get cell coverage, and had to give the tow truck driver GPS coordinates or something.
