just got back from C&M trailer in Ennis, had this built, not too custom, but it is just as I wanted.

18', 6 1/4' wide, 5" channel side, 3" channel cross members, fold up ramps with spring assist, 2x7.5k axles with one bake.

$2,500, I thought about a gooseneck but it was just too much. Basically 500~700 extra for the trailer plus another 600 a truck (I have two so $1,200) that I would have to hork out. It comes close to another 2K for the same carrying capacity.

By buying a tongue pull I use it right away and it is versatile. I am going to buy a gooseneck next, some deck over that can carry 20~25K, so I can carry 2 skid steers or a box blade and a skid steer. But that can wait till I am more ghetto rich :D

as Dave once pointed out, I like the idea of being able to load a piece of equipment without the truck attached.

Cool! Looks like I'm off the hook. :)

So what's the word on storage containers? You ready to roll?

yes, yes you are, thanks for the leg up though ;)

Yea, let's shoot for the middle to end of next month, my guys can start clearing next week ... if the weather holds.

Those bring the suck if you have much gravel road/off-road driving to do. They have a bad habit of binding up, and it looks like it may be in a spot that would be hard to pull the pin and pull it up. Of course a small chunk of railroad tie would go good under it. Don't take this wrong though, if you plan on putting a small tractor or other equipment on it, it will be real nice.

Are you guys getting in on the mini-storage construction?
