yep. all i need a a piece. anyone have a ford kingpin 60 they want to cut a small piece off of for the sake of science. im gonna run a few tests and put to rest the nodular, gray, steel debate. Ive already got a donor for a small piece from a chevy. just a corner off of a gusset or something...

you can have what i cut off when i do the driver side u bolt flip. not sure when that will be though.

SEM, Optical and XPS on the cast stuff and profilometer and hardness test on a connecting rod for another of Doc's race bikes. We converted a cr85 into a road racer and he's destroking it to race in a 75cc class.

im pretty sure they are forged. couldnt hurt to do it if i have time, but the reason im doing it is to see about welding methods on the pumpkins... and for a grade.
