well i was just look at a blazer cause they dont cost that much to fix up. But i just want to find a trail rig for around a grand so i dont tear up my truck
Samurai
i say sami or older jeep xj, like an 88ish
ive looked for a Samurai but i couldnt find any that weren't 3000 or more
I come across them every once in a while. I say that or an old xj. Here's my reasoning. If you were wanting a dd/trail rig the blazer would be good. But for an offroad rig, a blazer gets expensive. It can be done cheap at first, but if you get hooked into offroading you'll be needing expensive axles and stuff for it to handle the weight. A sammy or xj can be lifted and wheeled cheaply, then if you want to build it more, they can still use cheap axles. The benefit of the xj is that its easy to find a fuel injected one and the 4.0 has good power. Sure people don't like the unitbody, but that makes it light and I haven't heard of one actually falling apart.
So really all you want is an economical trail rig?

Says he wants $1200 for it. Could probably get it a little cheaper.
