ok so i found these axles and the guy selling them claims they are out of a 2005 super duty, a dana 60 and a Ford 10.5 but when i look at the axles in the pics, they look like they are leaf sprung and not coil sprung axles, which would mean they are 2004 and down axles. can anyone who knows a little bit more about ford axles help me out here? could i even use these for a 1980 Bronco SAS?

those are from a super duty like you said from an 04 and down, you will have more limited options with these axles compared to some from the non super duty versions, these have the crappy hubs, vacuum, different bolt pattern
for that price you can find a set with a king pin 60 and a 10.25 for the same price or cheaper, you can usually find a 60 around the 8-900 range and a rear for ~150 or less
I was thinking some of those were Dana 50's?
your right jimmy, many of them were 50's they also had 60's but in the later models, those axles also use a unit bearing instead of the normal 2 tapered bearings which equals more money
unit bearings are a wash in my book. isnt that what the rock racer guys are going to? they last a long ass time, dont need any maintenance, and are only like 300 to replace. bolt pattern should be the same? If they have vacuum disconnect that would suck, but I didnt think they did. Oh well, just see what a traditional 60 is running and see how you would come out.
overpriced and metric bolt pattern, no bueno. keep looking.
tip of the day: search craigslist like your a whitetrash redneck with 12 kids, 3 DWI's and have to sell 'ol faithful cause they 'turk yer jerb'. then offer them half of whatever they are asking.
I think you have to use a 79 or older to get the radius arm nubs between the tube and knuckle.

Only way I could be sure is to pull a shaft. 50 has 30 spline inners. 99 to about 01 had 50s, after that it was 60s, and the coil spring ones have 35 spline outers. Fancy trucks had vacuum lock hubs with manual override. Normal warn or whatever brand hubs fit. Brother runt was able to kill one, but I haven't heard of others.
