I got the rear 60 in.
this is with the new tires put on. I have to take a few days off to study for finals but then the front TTB is coming off and the front 60 is going in.:)
Dam that thing looks high. Did you add some lift?
Edit: I noticed the jack stands holding it up.
nice, I am planning on building up a 9in to swap in the rear of mine
But it just moved for the first time in 3 months....:D
i second that motion...whats up w/ that? `splain pleez.Quote:

37s might contribute to that visual effect...
Its on jackstands
No more lift. I am going to cut the rear fenders. The rear is sitting on the ground, but the front is on jack stands.
i beg to differ sir...:pQuote:

i still dont get it. i see that the front is on jackstands but if all the weight of the rear is sitting on the tires...why is there still so much clearance? was it that much before?
Yeah i had 5.5 inches of lift on it before with 33's and i did not lift it up any more. so the rear is sitting how it is gonna sit. plus some fender trimming. I am trying to keep the center of gravity down low. I might take out the 2.5 inch blocks and do the shackle flip to get more flex in the rear. The front end is hanging down cause of the jack stands.
rear end needs brakes and i need to get the rear drive shaft cut down 2 inchs or so.
front end is going to be some fun. I might try to move the front axle forward. But then that might cause some steering problems. but i will have to see what happens when i get the old stuff off and the new springs mounted in the front
yes it's a teeter toter??
How are you mounting your front D60? When I installed mine I moved the front axle 3" forward so that the tires did not hit the cab, But I only had 2.5" of lift so that might not be a problem with yours. I made my own steering linkage and it worked fine with the axle moved forward but my bronco is also older.
hope you bronco guys know that those things are unsafe deathtraps according to a kalifornia court

think they take swapped axles into consideration?
It is going to be leaf sprung.
Alright you can not really see to well here but the TTB is off the front of the truck and now its time to make some brackets for the springs that should be alot of fun.
I am going to have to stop for a little bit. Because people did not send the parts for my truck that i need. Plus i am getting new tools for christmas and i am gonna wait until i get them to work on the truck.
here is the front part of the mount
yeah about 30mins later i broke my little finger. I am pretty sure this is going to put a damper on this project. I broke my finger playing football in the street
That's nothing. Just tape it to your ring finger and go on about your business. That way it will set crooked and be fawked up for the rest of your life, like mine!Quote:

Oh, if you need any parts for your front 60, let me know. I have some that I'll be looking to get rid of.

If you have enough to piece one together, I could use one:cool:
Sorry, not quite that much. I'll be getting rid of a pair of caliper brackets, 2 pairs or rotors, 1 good hub, 1 fair hub, a pair of calipers, 1 factory locking hub, and probably a pair of cast spring plates.Quote:

alright i got the front 60 in. still need to put all the stuff in it like the locker and the shafts and then everything else. i also need to get some shims to shim it up a little.
Well its been awhile since i added to this post but here we go. First of all I got the bronco running again so i can load it up on the trailer to take to lufkin. While i am still at school i am gonna make some high steer arms.
The list of things to do
high steer arms
find some cheap ass dana 60 drums
make new steering componets
new oil pump (that should be the fun part)
maybe if i have time i will do the hydro assit
roll cage is planned also
is the oil pump on a ford in the pan on the bottom of the block or in the front cover. I'm guessing the front cover since the dizzy is up front. That should be easy on that motor. Easy day job.
nah its in the panQuote:

Holy ****. I don't think my girlfriend will allow me to hang out on San Saba anymore (or whatever street you guys live on over there). There's something going around in that place. Between you guys and BDR, there are definitely some changes going on. Jeez, so who's still just dating, not engaged or single?Quote:
