Ya better. We have another incident like that again, it wont be pretty from the manager.
No, im stherial.
damn you sharpe!
Scott posted up some old Clayton pics in Mark's Birthday thread which got me thinking. One of the pics had everyone's rigs/tow rigs gathered in the motel parking lot. I know it might be a little difficult to arrange since everyone is staying in different motels but I would like to take a few pics of the current group together before anyone bails sunday.
It would be cool to have a pic showing how much the club has grown since the early days.
:D This will be interesting...
Have you looked at any pics yet:

I've got Clayton December trip albums on there from 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2006. We skipped last year because we thought it was a bad idea to bring a 4 month old baby into freezing crappy weather...
close enough...nailed it! :gigem:
search noob :flipoff2:

Unless I get talked into it somehow, the Ford will most likely not be going.
So its pretty much impossible for me to get enough money to have the D44 in before the trip...
Open diffs, and a weak rear axle?
If you get stuck or break, we'll get you out.
take it, im running the 35 in the rear of my xj and its welded, open diffs wont be nearly as hard on that axle, and a light foot will help keep from breaking it
if worse comes to worse, there are plenty of people to pull you off and out, and we can always tie a tree up against the side of the tire and pour oil to keep it going :flipoff2:

saw that in petersons the other day and immediately thought of these fixes
I'll bring a spare 35C shaft that I have sitting around - just make sure to break the passenger side if you break...
damnit... i should have made that!
but seriously... why would you buy that?
"i know my axle sucks... instead of paying for a spare shaft ill spend my $100 plus shipping on this bar that will limp my ass back, ... then i can buy another shaft"
then you have to carry it around with you all the time.
I think it would be cool to have as a club. That way you could throw it on a newbs tire real quick and get the fawk out of there. Tree branches work too I guess.
true... better make it 2
on those same lines how about one of these....

"Holy ****, look at him go! He's like a ****ing woodchuck....CHOP THAT WOOD!"
its way early, but whatever. . . http://www.weather.com/weather/monthly/USOK0114?month=1
Nope, I planned on throwing an aussie in it when I got it re-geared to match the rear. Now I will just take my time and buy an OX for both the front and the rear.
My problem with the 35 in the rear is I don't want to buy shafts for it if it breaks when I have a 44 at home. Kind of a waste for a couple of weeks of usage.
I think I will just build my sliders now.
put this in a build thread to keep the clayton thread unmuttled.
spar shafts can be found cheeap.
are you going 44 front and rear?
Ed, I should be bring the remote jeep
hell yeah, that thing is loads of fun. I can pull the inverter from the dooley pretty easy so you can charge it on the trail. :gigem:
that, and so we dont have to call in the oklahoma forest fire service because somebody burnt their hummer down.
