he has no where to keep it or transport it to dallas
I have a storage shed to keep it in
Is the shed 20-24' long on any axis?
10-4
hell tommy has it now. i really need to get the tbi back on my jeep
How's it run? You should trim up your rear fender a bit.
Its not finished yet give it two weeks
Awesome Tommy. What carb did you take off, interested in selling it?
The carb just needs a rebuild. All of the parts besides the power valve are ok. Frick its a holley 600 classic. Pm me if you want it
What happened to the fence around the park, I don't think that is the section rhino took out with his truck?
thats past where they put it in to
We got the fuel lines almost done today
What's left to do
Wrap up the wiring harness
finish fuel lines and mount pump and filter
Put timing marker back on and set it
mount diagnostic port and check engine light
What's left to do other than tbi (before Gilmer)
finish u-joints and brakes in the front
Change rear diff fluid
bleed brakes
Turn drums and install new pads and wheel cylinders
Change engine oil and filter
Fill ps pump back up and bleed it again
find out why my hellas aren't working
mount new radiator and fan
I put a new radiator (actually new, not hot pocket new) in the klogger, it drastically improved the cooling... I would suggest putting some sort of window screen/mud catch in front of the radiator to keep it from getting fouled.
I have a pretty new one right now. The problem is my fan clutch and shroud are broken. I have a 5 core radiator from a box truck that was bought new a few years ago. He only used it for a year. It has a shroud and a 6 blade fan with a good clutch. Im thinking of putting that in because it has a good shroud and the bigger size will help.
If you plan on using an electric fan, I would plan on upgrading the alternator. As you have probably figured out the fan shroud helps the mechanical fan a lot.
yeah I got the radiator from a guy at work for $40 and it has a shroud. A new 79 bronco shroud is $70, so what I am doing is cheaper and should work better. I have the 2 12" pushers right now but they don't do much and when they're not on they restrict airflow, I'll see at gilmer if the mechanical fan and new radiator help the overheating problem.
If you can set the electric fans up with a shroud and rewire to pull through instead of push your cooling will be a lot more efficient. A shroud should be pretty easy to build...just pick up some sheet metal at Mack Bolt fold/cut so it's spaced about an inch off the radiator (fully enclosed space) and cut two 12" holes for the fans.
I say ditch the mechanical fan faggotry completely. Get either a Taurus single fan or Windstar dual fan setup (what I have on Pigpen). You can get either from a junkyard for ~$40-50 or get on Rockauto and look up Dorman Part # 620102 which is a BRAND NEW windstar fan for $92. You might have to attack the shroud with a cutoff wheel to make it fit, or you might not.
I say electric fans are just trouble. Mechanical fan with shroud is the way to go.
have you test driven it yet? i might actually enjoy wheeling with you now:flipoff2:
Haha. Glad to see her up and running Tommy. Now go follow Brian around for a while. We have learned him well on the art of 'being at one with your environment' :D
i need to get mine fixed before he can follow me around, it will be ready for a spring run i hope
haven't driven it yet. I hope to button her up and flem tune it tonight. Then i'll do a celebratory burn out
Heater and brakes fixed. The bump is back in, just some minor things to finish and i'll be ready to roll
Tommy, shouldn't you worry about passing a pt test instead of editing **** on here?
Tommy is a douche for editing Sams post.
Looks like someone needs to lose their power to edit. i.e. put it back tommy or i will choke you out again!
I think tommy is mad you didn't leave him another tree in his bronco.
