Jeez, can we delete this thread already? It's pretty obvious that you're not buying if you're not getting that one in CA.
No, '85 was the last solid axle. You're looking at 25 year old vehicles, small wonder you can't find one perfect.
C'mon. Stop bumping the thread if you're not buying. It's been a year now.
and how long did the cruzer take ....
if you guys want that one in CA go buy it yourself, I'm passing.
:rainbow:
It took a few days to buy and pickup. Not that complicated. At a few K, it's not exactly an investment.
looks like you keep posting the same ads over and over.
whatever, that pile of parts sat in your garage for years. why is it such a big deal to you any way? If i bores you, stay out. You started this tread, delete if you want.
Jerry, that is because I am only posting up 4Runners, all I am looking at.
the one in Dallas looks like a great deal if it's 4cyl manual. It is prob v6 auto though. If not, I have a tranny and a front axle housing (maybe knuckles too). Like I've said before, I would prefer an '89 with a nicer body over an '85. By the time you do crossover, rears up front, dropped hanger, etc it is just as easy to start by cutting off the IFS.

**** I would be on that one in Cali like white on rice. Quit being a poon, I drove to boston and back for an Australian piece of ****, took me all of three days to make the trip and it was a blast. Hell I was still in College and broke off my ass and it cost me about 750 in Gas but I still managed to afford, you got a damn job and I am assuming some money, have some fun.
Oh and sorry I am feeling fiesty this morning, just wrote a check for my property taxes, kind of a pill to swallow...
Dallas is an auto, guy in Houston is firm on the price, guess we'll see what pops up.
Rich kids don't need to dole out advice on how hard life is when buying their third car in college ;) :flipoff2: I sent the guy a PM, have to see what he says, shipping looks to be 500 or so. I can' really afford to take of 10 days right now, so it would have to be shipped.
Hey I've got a trailer I could sell him! You come up here, pick up me and trailer, we drive to vegas, have a pre-bachelor party for you, go to cali, pick up truck, have a pre-bachelor party for me, back to vegas, spend half the night having another pre-bachelor party for you and the rest of the night having another pre-bachelor party for me, then back to denver...might as well do a little more bachelor partying while we're here...then you head back to Texas! Be sure he gives you his amex card.
***, sure since you didn't get it the first time: "Rich kids don't need to dole out advice on how hard life is when buying their third car while in college ;) :flipoff2: "
Oh, did you want it explained? I was giving you are hard time about you giving me a hard time ;)
I do want another scout, but I want something to hold me over till it is finished. I saw Dave sit on his hands for 5 years while building the cruzer, trying to avoid that.
tempting Jerry, but it would probably cost me more than 500 to have you pick it up from san fran. He said some others were in line to look at, just have to see what shakes out.
oh it's in San Fran? We'll have Jerry's bachelor party there.
Here's your work truck dreams, even comes with some labor. :gigem:

saw that on eBay a while back, the paint and caddy conversion is a deal killer. Other than that, it is spot on what I want to do :D
that interior sucks
edit: never mind, thats kind of like saying "this part of the song sucks" when listening to house of pain
Probably not what you want, but it's interesting at least...

we had actually agreed to a higher price pre-eBay but he backed out. He didn't want to wait a few weeks for the shipper (first opening on the schedule) to show. Now claims he has locals interested, told him to PM me if it falls through. I should post the "contract" he wanted me to sign, had a clause for $500 a month storage after 2 weeks.
this thread has been going on for over a year...
and your point is ......
v6 auto it is a no.
This thread should be named إن شاء الله
